What options to fit a 650 with extra cylinder?

I have a 650 that I would like to shoot 22LR. Back in the day, I could send the 650 to S&W and ask for them to provide a fitted 22LR cylinder.

If that was still an option, I would not be posting this request.

What options do I have now?

Thanks in advance.

Other than finding a gun that already has two cylinders, I doubt that there is any other way. I have a 2 cylinder 650 that I bought used with them. Don't know if it came that way new or if it was ordered later.

Didn't know that it second cylinder could be ordered.

I have a special order 650 with both cylinders new in the box seems to be hard to find.

Cylinders turn up occasionally, GB or perhaps eBay. A few years ago I found a K frame one in 22 WMR in new condition at my local parts shop, no telling how long it had been floating around parts stock. Probably came to my source from an out of business gun shop. Anyway, minimal fitting required to put it in a pre-18 and it works fine (might be an issue with 22LR vs 22WMR given the slight barrel diameter difference but I didn't experience it; and you shouldn't have an issue with the 22LR in the 22WMR barrel). Might take a while to find one but S&W cylinders are available on the used market.
