So other than guns and things about guns, what do you do in your free time. Besides my woodburnings and writing, I like to build models as I have for the past 10 years or so. These are just a few of the ones I have on shelves here and there
The HMVS Cerberus, the first true breastwork battleship from 1870
The USS Cairo, union ironclad
The CSS Tennessee,
Huey UH1-B
Fokker Eindecker and Sopwith Camel
Good old tried and true M4 Sherman
Soviet KV-2 Gigant
This is the latest project, th USS Laffey, about 1/3 done. In April, 1945 the Laffey was subject to the worst kamikaze attack in WWII. Attacked by over 50 Japanese planes, the ship was struck by 4 bombs and six kamikazes with 32 killed and 71 wounded. But the ship was saved and repaired. This is going to be for a display in a local museum. I'm trying to make then ship look as it did during the attack.
