If I had a Tail
-Queens of the Stone Age

Don't ask me why, I just like this song.
I asked my kid about the band. He said "We're way too cool to listen to a band like that. They've been around forever."
Funny, I never heard of them before.

Gitchy, gitchy
Ooh la la
Da doo ron ron
You wont get far

I'm machine
I'm obsolete
In the land of the free
Lobotomy

I wanna suck, I wanna lick
I want to cry and I want to spit
Tears of pleasure
Tears of pain
They trickle down your face the same

It's how you look
Not how you feel
A city of glass
With no heart...

If I had a tail
I'd own the night
If I had a tail
I'd swat the flies

Yeah, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh
Yeah, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh

Gitchy, gitchy
Ooh la la
Da doo ron ron
You won't get far

Animals in
the midnight zone
When you own the world
You're always home

Get your hands dirty
Roll up them sleeves
Brainwashed or true believers?
Buy flash cars
Diamond rings
Expensive holes to bury things

I'm machine
I'm obsolete
In the land of the free
Immortality

If I had a tail
I'd own the night
If I had a tail
I'd swat the flies

Oh-oh-oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh

See me dancing on the stars
See me dance...

If I have a tail
I will control the night
If I have a tail
I will control the night
If I have a tail
I will control the night

When we have a tail
We will control...

Most people are shocked to find out that I listen to a lot of 80's pop music and big beat techno.

Really, most anything with a good beat is alright. The only stuff I can't stand is most country and gangsta rap. What foolishness that is.

I've had an earworm for days now, of Blondie's One Way or Another. I don't even like that song. Aaaarrrggghhh!
Gitchagitchagitchagitcha....

My dad was a big fan of Stan Freberg, and stuff like "Transfusion" by Nervous Norvus. That's the music I grew up with, and I'm still a fan, not only of that, but also more modern oddball stuff like Frank Zappa (who was a musical genius) and Weird Al Yankovik.

Every now and then I'll hear a 70s bubblegum pop song that will bring back fond memories of young and fun women... but I'd never admit to purposely listening 40 years later.;)

Anything Jimmy Buffet especially while sailing. Cheeseburger in Paradise comes to mind.

I first heard him in a bar in Biloxi in 1973 and didn't know who the heck he was back then.

"Honey, Honey," by The Archies. Has sentimental value.

Her name was Margaret and she was...a lot of fun. Fond memories. And that was "our" song, often on the radio then.

Anything by: Alvin and the Chipmonks. Also: the: Hamster song. I dont think it can get any weirder than that. However--one that I loved when it came out was: Bomb Iran--by: The Beach Boys--which was a slghtly changed version of their: Barbara Ann.

Hoorable mention, anything by: Kraftwerk and They Might Be Giants.

I wish I were on a regular computer today because--I would look this one up on youtube and post it here: Istanbul Not Constatinople. This would be ESPECIALLY for Walkin'Jack. :D
