What`s your smallest & largest centerfire rifle?

remington xp-100.......221 fireball....smallest

largest true rifle would be a '94 AE Trapper....a stretch would be an 870 with Hasting rifled barrel attached in 12 bore, a most decisive hog gun if held to 75 yds. or so.....

Model 43 Winchester in 22 Hornet and Remington 30-06 with lots in between. Wouldn't have guessed that there would be so many elephant guns among members!

I'm only set up for one caliber: 5.56

I only use my rifles for competitions at a couple of local gun clubs.

I have two ar-15s set up for three gun.

I also have a Savage model 10 with a 20 inch heavy barrel & Leupold scope for any kind of precision competitions.

None of the ranges are more than 300 yards. The 5.56 is perfect, cheap, accurate and easy to reload.

Smallest in terms of caliber is a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle in .223 Remington. Largest is Marlin 336CS in 30-30 Winchester. Not a rifle guy, so 30-30 is big enough for me-haven't even shot it.

My smallest center fire rifle is a CZ American 550 in 22-250 and my Largest is a Sako 338 Win Mag. I sent the Sako to E.R. Shaw in the 1990's when it was a 30-06 and I had him rebarrel it in 338 Win Mag and he opened the bolt up to accept the larger caliber. I used the 338 Win Mag to shoot my trophy 6x7 Elk on our 2009 trophy hunt with my sons. We waited 18 years to get our trophy license and my 2 boys each got a 6x6 Elk.

Smallest is .223 in Mini 14 stnls fldr, Savage Edge XP. Largest, 45-70 in sporterized 1878-dated Springfield, Ruger Model 1 Bicentennial.

Here's my smallest center fire rifle. A Stevens
Ideal single shot rifle in 22-15. The last photo
is (top to bottom); a 22-15 cartridge; 22 LR for
comparison; a 60-grain bullet for the 22-15.

.22 Hornet

.460 Weatherby

Same here, except my .22 Hornet is a Springfield M6 OU in .22 Hornet and .410, and my .460 Weatherby has a LH action with a Lazermark stock. Oh, I also have a Ruger M-77/.22 Hornet.

By the way, it looks like a number of folks replying didn't read the question and are listing rimfire rifles, rather than centerfire.

Colt-Sauer in .243 and a Colt Sauer in .300Wby.

Like others I have a 45-70 lever for biggest bore size, but the Weatherby is my most powerful.

Forget the size question, you have two of my favorite cartridges, in perhaps the best gun for the dollar in the world.... Lucky Guy.:)

.17 Mk IV and .460 Wby, which I got from my dad when he had had enough of it. I have yet to shoot the big boy, but just perhaps I will get a shot at a Cape, some day. Now if the rule requires the owner to have actually used the gun then I would have to go .375 H&H..... Which leads me to why I have yet to shoot the .460....
