I have 158 swc lee mold in .358 daimeter and need to know what size gas checks to use?? I looked at Midway and sizes offered are a little confusing when trying to find the right size.

Now, you are using a mould that is cut for gas checks, aren't you?
They would be plain old 35 caliber gas checks.

Lyman:

Lyman Gas Checks 35 Cal Box of 1000

OR

Hornady:

Hornady Gas Checks 35 Cal Box of 1000

For the price I would be all over the Hornady as I have no idea why Lyman is so high right now.

This is a better question than you realize! If you buy Lyman gas checks look closely at them. If they are brass colored then they were made by Lyman. If they are copper colored they were made by.............wait for it.............HORNADY!

Same for RCBS, at least before they were a part of "The Leisure Group", they were made by Hornady too, and probably still are since Speer does not sell gas checks

BTW, I consider the Hornady checks to be superior because their rims have a taper that acts as a crimp to retain the check better on the bullet's heel.

Lyman no longer makes gas checks, but buys them from Hornady instead. Alk8944 covers identification very well in his post. All Hornady made gas checks are the crimp on style.
