The pop-up ads on this venerable forum can range from interesting and informative to annoying or even downright confounding but today when one "popped" up under the banner at the top of the page offering:
"Click Here to View Your Arrest Record" I almost spat out my Breakfast Beer!
I think I AM under surveillance!!!

Well, do I feel like the dimmest of the dimwits..... Here I have been bitchin up a storm over the constant ads that slow down the enjoyment of the site and all along I could have ended it IF I had just read a little bit...

I have been meaning to make a contribution to this forum as it is my favorite of the few that I contribute to and now find that the ads go buh bye upon making a contribution..... Well,....duh...

I have to wait until the close of the latest billing period of my cc that I use (as per instructions from "She who must be obeyed") but as soon as that date is done in a week, I will be making my contribution and will renew regularly, and, at a level comensurate with my enjoyment of this site!

My thanks to those who have made the effort to solicit contributions. I should get to reading more of the things on this site as well as my reading of the ones pertaining to the old revolvers.....
