what to buy 10's, 20's or 30 round Magazines?

I'm not so sure about that. And I can tell you every single person I know who already has an AR has been buying the hell out of mags this week. Magpul Pmags went from $8/ea to $75/ea in some places virtually within a 2 day period.

Pretty much every single AR in my town has been sold too.

It's absolutely disgraceful how gun stores have reacted to this event in terms of pricing.

So, if you already own say.... a low priced AR rifle- let's say you own a Smith and Wesson Sport (Mods, mail me my shameless plug royalty check anytime:D) Then WHY, for goodness sake would you rush out and buy one for $1000, or even worse, $1200???!!!! Uh uh- nope. Those who are paying that kind of money are those who sat around for the last several years saying "I see a Smith and Wesson Sport (Shameless plug check #2 today!!;) )sells for $600.They are making them left and right. I am going to wait until the price comes down."
Well, all of a sudden, they are looking into a situation where they might be waiting 10 years for a ban to be repealed.... again... and they do not want to be in that situation.Magazines are like packs of smokes in the joint; they would be traded for peanut butter sandwiches and beers if it came down to it. Like any wear and tear item, one would expect to keep some spaes for the long haul, due to loss, theft, and damage as well as just wearing out.
I have several pistol magazines for each pistol I own. I don't like to take a lot of time at the range reloading every 2 minutes, and yes, I have goofed and put a magazine into a pistol, reached forward, taken a shot and had that mag fall out, hit the floor, and smash a feed lip and the mag never worked right again. That is why I have several extras; because I dufus it every once in a while.
I am not 'happy' with the gouging, but then again....... I AM looking at my options. I could cover a down for some property next to Grover if I lighten my load a bit.
I am still buying, but not at inflated prices. I pay what I am willing to pay, and will wait 2 months for the brown truck to pull up to my front door. To me??? That's worth a $12.99 magazine.
When people were unloading surplus they had, I was there going shooting for a lot less than if I was panic buying.
I am going to put a call in on some ammo- from what I gather, I can get it for my last going price- but I have to be willing to settle for about half of my usual load out.
Those willing to buy xm855 for $300 per can?? Well, they never thought to buy any when it was a buck forty.

Ammo and mags are being bought primarily by frequent shooters who want enough to hold them over for a while, mixed with new entries to shooting/ those truly willing to 'Opt-in'.
But overpriced rifles, being bought for retarded high prices???? Those who are already in the game don't need to do that, plain and simple.

I actually wish I had some good 10rd AR mags.
Two weeks ago , I scored 3-10rd DPMS .308 mags for 1/2 price.
I've already got several 5 and 10rd mags for my M-1A.

I usually shoot 5 or 10rd strings at the range anyway. As long as they're legal , 5-10rd mag will be in my range bag.

I'll deep-six my 20-30rd mags till common sense prevails over emotion and freedom returns.

I think a lot of people looking to buy ARs and mags are hoping to do exactly what those gun shops have already done. Sell it for double , triple or more than what they paid.

Make a quick buck off a terrible situation.

The one thing about them selling them for the inflated prices is they may not refill their supply of 30 round mags until the crazy settles out. Who would want to go out and buy 600 30round mags and have the government tell them that they can no longer sell them. So they fleece the customer up real good, but if the government bans the customers rifles then they arent going to be customers anyway. There is so much iffy stuff going on right now.

The problem with the idea that now is the time to buy and then sell later for a profit is that your very unlikely to make enough to cover your expenses.

At least right now, that is.

We are watching the bubble right now and the time to have bought was before the nonsense.

"buy low, sell high"

Folks running up a credit card bill trying to catch up will only fall behind.

Good luck everyone.

That is so true...I have 9 brand new mags that I bought low, but I didnt buy them to resell, I bought them for when I wear out the mags I have!!
