I have a mint 27-2w/ 3.5" w/Sambar Stag grips. The bluing is glossy deep blue with no visible wear or loss odf bluing. The gun appears unfired and I purchased used as new. Serial # indicates that it is from 1968. Would you shoot the gun or sell for two nice but less costly shooters? I could shoot it but there are other good shooters also. The N frame is huge and heavy but it's arguably the most beautiful gun ever! Appreciate your comments. Indont want to be hasty in selling it but not really a safe queen guy.

Do you still have the box, original grips, and paperwork? If so the decision would be harder for me. If no box etc, the collector value is dinged a bit. If that's the case I'd shoot it, take care of it, and enjoy.

Then SELL it! Prices right now are good for that revolver. Price it high and if no takers,reduce it bit-by-bit. Buy something you will enjoy shooting or put the money under the mattress for a rainy day. Other than pride of ownership,what good is it doing for anybody?

If purchased at a shooter grade price, I'd do so. If purchased at a collector's price and you can make a few dollars go ahead and pass it on. They are beauties.

Since it sounds like you really don't want to shoot it because of its' condition,get rid of it to acquire a couple guns that you would like to shoot.

Keep it. Shoot it. Care for it and the shooting won't diminish value much. If it's the right revolver for you for serious use, use it for such. If you enjoy it at the range, do so and -- again -- simply care for it.
If in shooting it some you're certain it isn't for you in any way...sit on it a year and see if you still feel that way. It'll only increase in value over that time, and then you can sell it.

Another vote for sell it and buy shooters with the proceeds.

Clean and store it properly for one or two years, then ask again if you need to.
We definitely need pictures of that gem!
