So, I ordered (4) 25 Round mags through 44mag.com and they arrived today around noon.

When I finally removed the crammed envelope from my mailbox I discovered that the packaging was shredded and It only contained 3 out of the 4 magazines.

I've already talked to the Post Office and emailed 44mag, I guess my question is, what can you do in a situation like this?

Thanks!

I would think they should have been in a flatrate box not and envelope. Sounds like 44mag should replace the missing mag due to packing error.

Yeah, mine were delivered in a beat up envelope and it looked like it was halfway open. I wish they would send them in a box and not a jacked up envelope.

I got all 4 of mine in a envelope also. No damage. 44mag sells them at such a low cost and flat rate shipping its kinda hard to complain about packaging.

It sounds to me like USPS is at fault. While it is going to be a PITA to get anything resolved with USPS I'm sure the envelope did not look like that when it left 44mag.

I can tell you that 44mag has GREAT customer service and I would drop them a line to tell them what happened.

I agree and understand completely. I know for a fact that 44mag wouldn't send out a destroyed packaged I was just curious as to what I should do seeing as how I've never had to deal with this before.

When I spoke with the USPS they basically told me they would talk to the carrier but beyond that there was nothing they could do seeing as how the package had stopped at so many different places.

My order a couple of months ago arrived in mutilated packaging also, but no damage to the mags themselves. I emailed 44mag to suggest that they take more precautions and got a nice reply saying they would. I guess somebody didn't get the memo. With their reputation for CS, my guess is 44mag might just replace the missing one if you ask them real nice.

My last order for 10-round magazines came in a heavy envelope; no damage or problem. The fault is the USPS.

Truth is...... UPS / USPS.... all have insurance for this very reason. File for a loss of item.

Contact Both

Not sure if it was insured shipping or not. All My stuff i sell on my website is insured...

44mag would be the ones to deal with USPS Directly since THEY paid the shipping and shipped the product.... and they do A LOT of business with usps...

Contact 44mag and plead yer case... Be sure and Hold onto all packaging and take Pictures.......

Good Luck.....

LOL, is that a classic government response or what? "Gosh, sir, your package had to make a lot of stops. We couldn't possibly avoid running over it with an airplane or a forklift or something somewhere along the line!"
Government: Pay up and do as we say. It's for your own good.
Private enterprise: We want you to come back tomorrow instead of going to our competition. What can we do to make you happy?

I received my order of 4 mags from 44mags.com last week. Same situation...arrived in a beat up USPS Priority envelope with a corner torn and shredded. One mag could have easily slipped out of the hole, but luckily all of mine arrived. Sounds like a shipper issue to me but 44mags should either change packaging or contact USPS and make them aware of the issues. No coincidence that three people on this thread had the same issue.

Hope you get your fourth mag soon...good luck!

My mags came in a half shredded envelope as well. Obviously, the envelope is a little underrated for shipping the mags. Everyone is seeing the same kind of damage. The vendor should charge a dollar more for shipping and pack them a little better

Good to hear.
After reading that several others have had similar issues Doug B said it right. Charge 1 dollar more and package a little better. Great customer service once again from 44 mag.

Great to hear you are getting your extra mag! Also great to hear about a company that believes in good-old-fashioned customer service. Word of mouth (and Internet) goes a long way. 44mag.com gets my endorsement

i think 4 or less come in a prepaid envelope since that is all that they can stuff in there. my last 2 orders of 4 each came in such and envelope and although not as beat up as yours, it did look worse for wear. 5 and up the small prepaid box would be the best for all mags sent. i think it is $5 to ship the box, maybe just a few cents more. may not be able to get 5 in that small box either though, they are pretty small. maybe next size up.

I had a similar situation a while back. I had ordered a sling from Ares Armor. When the envelope arrived from USPS it was ripped open and of coarse, no sling. When I called USPS the basically said, "tough luck, not our problem". For what it's worth, I told Ares about the situation and they were VERY accommodating and helpful (definitely appreciate their customer service). After MANY frustrating calls with the USPS nothing ever happened. I've never had any problem with UPS or FedEx. I avoid USPS whenever possible.
