What upgrades to the Shield as an EDC weapon?

got a custom rear slide plate - that is the only thing i've changed on the shield and probably the only thing i will change since it's my EDC
CC with a crossbreed minituck holster

I keep my carry guns stock. Might add night sights, but that's about it. IMO the Shield is perfect right outta the box.

Other then a good belt and holster it doesn't need a thing. Just plenty of range time. EDC isn't target shooting so why spend $ on a trigger job and night sights.

I agree about the trigger, but must say that I love my Trijicon HD sights. Nice big neon yellow/green ball on the front sight lets me pick it up faster than the stock sights, and I like night sights in the dark.

My holster arrived while I was gone. Leatherneck tactical is the maker, and it gits nicely on my simply rugged leather gun belt. Time to sneak away tomorrow to the range to break it in so I can carry it

Truglo TFX sights
Apex carry kit
Apex alum trigger
Talon grips
PJ holster

All personal preference, but Apex makes a difference

I've added Apex Duty/Carry kit, Ameriglo pro I dot sights and Talon Grips
All very worthwhile upgrades. As for a holster, went with a quality Wright leather works hi ride belt holster
I also recommend the 7 round mags over the 8 round. Jmho

I put a hogue grip on mine as I thought the handle a bit thin and slippery. I bought night sights months ago but have not yet installed them. The trigger is something I do not understand peoples' complaints about. But, I heard similar gripes when I started working with glocks. As long as it goes bang when I want it to...
Get a good gun belt and decide if you want to IWB or OWB carry.
