What was the last NEW S&W you bought and when did you buy it?

The last new Smith

was a JM 625 about 2 years ago.

Dealer lost his FFL and was closing out his stock at 10% discount. How does someone pass that up? I don't normally buy new but I was looking for something like a 1917, 25 or 625. I'll tell you that if you have not tried an N frame in 45 ACP you are missing a fantastic experience. The grips had to go but 45 ACP is a hoot and the least expensive big bore to run. I was amazed at 50 yd accuracy.

Old Jerry knows his revolvers.

The warranty made the difference

I have been buying mostly used revolvers but last month I change my mind. I decided to buy new.

I bought a new model 617, a model 66 and new 686 2.5" PC.

Now this is a thought-provoking thread...hmmmm, let's see...

I think the last new S&W I bought was probably my Performance Center 945, and that was about -- what? -- 12 or 13 years ago? It was a great pistol, but I really wanted a Les Baer 1911, so I sold it...and have regretted doing so ever since!

Bought my 40 M&Pc in 2013

Great compact, but I still need to get use to how small it is! I used it to get my CPL, went very well.

M&P 9mm pro series

That is a great side arm isn't it? My wife never fired a side arm before, and she was hitting her target after 20rds! That trigger is so smooth!

A M&P9 Pro bought new in November 2008.

I bought a M&P15 5.56TS this year

It is a bad *** rifle!!! I'm glad I bought that rifle!!!:D

Bought a NIB 642-1CT and a 442 back in 2011.

Come to think of it that 642-1CT and 442 are the ONLY NIB S & W's I've ever bought were I was the first retail owner. I've got several NIB S & W's but I'm not the original retail purchaser. BTW, Sold the 442 a few months after buying it. It had the IL. Just could not bring myself to warm up to it.

Edit: I forgot I bought a NIB Old Stock S & W 1500 aka Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard in 30/06 about 10 years ago. My S & W 1500 came from the Howa Custom Shop and is stocked with Weatherby wood. It's fitted with an 18" barrel with Williams front and rear sights. It DOES have the S & W grip cap. It's still NIB having only been test fired at the Howa factory. It'll drop a deer sooner or later.

I bought my S&W M&P 40 on 3.6.14 and my. 38 special Bodyguard on 3.8.14 also my SD40VE on 4.5.14. I purchased the M&P shield 9mm 2 days ago and I pick it up Thursday. :D uploadfromtaptalk1397632380704.jpguploadfromtaptalk1397632394655.jpguploadfromtaptalk1397632419468.jpg

Over the last 30years or so I've bought two new S&W686s. Sold both for one reason or another. Looking at today's prices I wish I hadn't. Bought this S&W M&P15 new last year to replace another S&W M&P I bought new 5 years ago

S&w 500 with 8 3/8" bbl. Interchangeable compensator. About 3 months ago. Before that was in 2011 i bought a sw40ve for $321 tax included and a m&p 15 ar. Only used smith i bought so far is a 686-6 and it was around 2011.

I've only bought three "new" S&W's in my life. The most recent was a 9mm Shield, when they first came out. I'd never even heard of them when the guy at the LGS showed it to me. Nice little gun but I'm not a fan of any semi to tell you the truth. I really don't know whey I bought it. I kept it a while, then sold it for about what I paid for it.

Before that I bought a Sigma 9mm when I thought the security company I was working for was going to upgrade to "armed". They didn't. I sold the Sigma again for about what I paid for it, but it wasn't a bad gun.

The first handgun I ever bought was a NIB Model 19. I traded it off for a Colt 1911, also NIB, when I got bit by the IPSC bug. Last time I ever traded a revolver for a semi...although the Colt was a good gun too.

A "new old stock" Model 638 with 2.5" barrel. Sending it off to Mossy Creek Custom in Tennesse to have Jeff Mims work his magic on it and to have an XS trit front sight blade installed. Bought the .38 SPL revolver for my twin brother who has never owned a firearm. He's had his CCW permit for over a year now, and finally caved-in to getting a handgun. The S&W Model 638 with longer barrel was my top recommendation for him.
