1. Fit the M&P 2.0 Compact without overhanging the barrel, and
2. Include a red laser
3. Include a strobe

Don't think I'm critical on lumens. Will be used for home defense, so believe I need at least 200 lumens and probably not as much as 800 lumens.

Open to any price point. Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks........... R

Thanks. My main difficulty with the internet search is finding specs on length that'll let me get some idea about how well or poorly it fits that size pistol/barrel.

Not the 2.0, but 1.0C which I believe to be shorter barrel. Really like my TRL-6. Been very happy with is. However per your request, please note these DO NOT have a strobe option.

I've attached a table in pdf format showing data on various models of weapon lights with lasers. It's info from the internet, and I didn't try to be exhaustive on specs because it's just not available in a consistent format. For example some would list weights without stating whether it was with or without batts, while others just wouldn't list weights at all. Some would list run times without qualifying whether it was at high power or low power or with both light and laser running, etc. If I thought I could get comparable data, I listed it. Otherwise not. Prices are a quick shot at internet prices as of 10/19/2017. (Oops - I see that I included weights --> please note that I don't have a clue whether that's with or without batts)

I did this for my own use, and thought I'd try to share it. I'm uploading a pdf file and we'll see how it shows up. If it doesn't, I'll try a different way.
Y=Yes
N=No
R=Red
G=Green

Thanks for the input folks. Hope this helps somebody........ R

First blush, that LaserMax looks right for my purposes. Now to check it out more thoroughly about user experiences.

I have a Viridian C5L green/light/strobe on my 1.0 full size 9 and am quite happy with it. Haven't tried it on my 2.0 Compact but I'm guessing it would fit fine.

Go to You-tube and search there for reviews on that light, or weapons lights in general. There should be multiple reviews on whatever light you're considering, and I would assume all of them would show them mounted on various pistols, hopefully giving you a decent idea of how they'll fit.

Good to know. Appreciate the experience. I'd probably go with the Red laser version for the lower price, and I think red would be fine for home defense. It'll go on the 2.0 Compact 9mm that I have on order.

Hmmm..... While waiting on delivery of my 2.0 Compact, I've been studying up on laser/light selection, and posted that spreadsheet of findings above.

Thought I'd narrowed the choice of weapon light down to the one to buy, so I moved on to finding a holster for the gun+light combo. Now I'm coming to appreciate that if you want a holster that is actually designed for your combination, you have a very large field to review, then take your best guess. Having been plugging away at that for awhile now, I'm realizing that the choice of weapon light has a large impact on availability of holsters.

If you want a generic small, medium, large no problem. If you want one that has your style of carry in a specific gun+light/laser, you might need to pick out your holster first then buy the weapon light.

Not saying that the vendors are not accurate in their descriptions or in providing a good product/service. Just realizing that you won't really know if it meets your wants until you try it. It's changed my choice of weapon light from the 2.0 Compact expected to arrive soon for home defense.

Mercy, this holster thing is a "ante up and take your chances". No wonder everybody talks about the drawer full of holsters. Just my $0.02USD. Hope I've got some good choices on the way. We'll see.

Regards........ R
