Whatcha think? 4566tsw

I don't think you'll regret it. The straight grip part # is 203620000. Unfortunately no one seems to have it right now. You might check with S&W tomorrow. On the red dots, I just got the brightest red auto touch up paint I could find, & after cleaning the area with alcohol & allowing it to dry, I put a drop in the hollow with a straightened out paper clip. Hope this helps!

Not a purchase you will regret.

I prefer the straight back grips. However, that is strictly MY preference.

That gun still has a ton of life left in it.

I second (or is that third now - I have lost count) the thought that you will not regret it!! The grips on that model in police work used to get chewed up pretty good (they got banged into everything during shifts). Who really cares about the red dot. the pistol tells you when it is on safe or fire based upon hammer movement. If you absolutely have to have night sights, you can send the whole slide back to Trijicon and they will relight those Novaks for about 50.00. That 4566 will last long enough to pass on to the next generation to enjoy. Enjoy - That gun was made to shoot. By the way - That firearm was retailing for over a grand, when S&W decided to cease production - because it was toooo expensive for them to make a profit....

God bless you if you want to CC that heavy beast, not me. Duty carry? Absolutely, but I'll go with something lighter for my CC.

Lol! You know, with the right holster and belt it's not all that heavy. When I holster it there is that initial felt weight but after a few seconds I don't even notice it.

Haha, yeah pants on the ground heavy! I can't even carry my 4516-2 let alone the 4566. When I carry a .45 it's my Dan Wesson Guardian which only clocks in at 28 oz (empty).

Good for you though, you know it will always go bang no matter what.

Arik is absolutely correct. I have been known to CC a 4506 at times......also a Beretta 96, a Glock 31, a Glock 21, and a 681.

It is all in the gear you use. Buy good quality belts and holsters.
