What's a Gun-Friendly State to Move To?

Michael,

Let me put in another plug for Texas. I think you can find most anything you want here with a little looking.

You may remember this little beauty on the right (4672). You let me have it way back in '03 when I was first infected with this disease. It's still one of my favorites but if you come down here I'll let you play with it again.:D

I'm in Central Ky at the moment and have no problems keeping guns....we have a Great shooting range here and there is several 1000 yard and 1500 yard ranges west of here. I go back to my homeplace in Southeastern Ky / Harlan County occasionally to shoot. Pistol...Rifle...Artillery....Whatever you have you can easily get 20 miles of distance if need be...Not to mention a lot of town there revolve around the offroad park and you can ride 4 wheelers and ATV's on main streets and highways legally!

I used to go out on my front porch down there in the morning to my benchrest and steel and paper shoot up to 1500 yards while waiting on breakfast to be prepared...In Fall I deer hunted from the deck right outside my bedroom....winter you could look out the bay window in the living room and deer hunt!

Lots of fun!

Join a gang, Bloods, Crips, etc and move to Brooklyn or The Bronx. You may get "harassed" by the police but the District Attorney's office and loony liberal judges are very gun carrying perp friendly. Plus the bagels, Chinese food and pizza are outrageous.

Another vote for Georgia!

Senator Isakson is fighting the POTUS on the new gun laws and went on TV simply saying it won't fly in Georgia.

Missouri isn't bad, open carry for years. Castle doctrene is in effect. We are poor but unlike some stated we can not spend more than is appropreated....(It's the law)..Poor but we don't owe unlike Ca. and some other states that we all pay for their generational un employed..When the money runs out it runs out....Very much a gun loving state with the exception of St. LOUIS CITY AND COLUMBIA

How about Mars? I don't think that you will find any pesky firearm laws up there[they use death ray's] but you still might check with the local officials, oh and for that you'll need an interpretor from
kalifornia :)

I'm with David, I would look at Vermont, if you don't want to move far. Now, Texas is fine, but you need to experience our summer weather, before you make a rash decision.

Ditto

People escape from Illinois to Missouri. The local police are very supportive of our relatively new firearm laws. I came out of a movie one night with my wife-to find our car had been broken into-The responding police officer said "they're lucky you didn't catch them in the act". The officers know most of the people in the area, and they know that it a pinch-they can count on a citizen for support. nuff said

Only one state has a few foxes, but lots of Coyotes, and NEW ORLEANS! We have a 12 month riding season, meaning Harley to me, horse to you :) , plus every few months I could trade you every Smith I have for every Smith you have and back again! :)

Some States mentioned are not a longer term sure thing. All it would take is alignment of the stars to get a Democratic majority & you'll be in a fight for gun rights. I'd hedge your bet & go to a place like WY, ND, SD, & maybe ID & MT. WY & SD are fairly low on overall taxes.

That's my plan anyway.
