...at a dealers....

very tight and precise action, great finish, some kind of recent non-factory non-buffed look that was quite nice...no box, Pachmeyer grip

$450 OTD...

don't need one....don't want one....only used N frame in the shop though

That's probably a little high for a refinished gun with rubber grips and no box....

I know where there's an all original 4" S-series I can pick up right now, no box or docs, for $395...maybe a little less.

Offer $333.99

I always make a lower offer and get it.

My two 28s, one 6 in S series and one 4 in N series were both purchased in the last 6 months and I paid less than $275 for each of them...both on the auction sites...neither on of them is a safe queen, but both are tight and shoot like a house afire...

I have yet to fall under the mesmerizing influence of the 28s ....yet.....

they certainly have a nice feel to 'em.....Now, if they had a bigger hole in the barrel....oh, yea, that's the 57/58/657....hmmm....

I have handled some nice 28s lately...don't know what I'd ever do with one.....

{breaking into sweat}.....

Maybe shoot .357 Magnum ammunition?

I saw a few 28's at the recent Louisville gun show (though not nearly as many as I expected to). The cheapest one was priced at $475! I passed on all of them. The model 27's I saw weren't that much more...

Sir, if you don't have a .357 yet, you need one. It's like a .22, a .30-'06, or a 12 gauge--there are certain things you're just required to have.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

re: 28 non-buffed (sound of one hand smacking forehead) of COURSE!!! must be suffering some kind of brain fade here....

re: 357s: yes, I have an adequate supply of them...enough such that I am not in dire need of obtaining one...even a nice tight-actioned model...besides...I prefer "N frame calibers"

and WOW Pilgrim....would you like to *kaff*kaff* get your money back???

Where I live Model 28's seem to run between $350 - $400. It's ironic that the best handgun prices are to be found back in the Northeast. One of the most anti-gun sections of the country. Darn it.
