Thinking of selling my S&W Model 29 Classic Hunter Special Order. Non fluted cylinder and full underlug. Immaculate bluing with original box, original hogue grips, Altamont grips (pictured), documents, pamphlets, and sealed factory cleaning kit. Any help is appreciated.

Check comparable pieces on GunBroker - be sure to watch asking and selling prices, they are usually different.

How many rounds down the pipe?

Already checked gunbroker and cannot find anyone selling or having sold this exact model.
Less than 200 rounds since it was manufactured. Comes with all original content.

If it's a product code 101230, then 5,000 were made. So, it's not an uncommon variation. Still, very desirable. I could see it going north of $1,000 at auction in a bidding war, with a large number of very high resolution in-focus photographs.

Given it doesn't have the Adj. Silhouette Frt. Sight it's not one of the Early 29-3 Classic Hunter's having the Product Code 101230!!

More likely the Later Variant 29-4 Classic Hunter as they had the Traditional Red Ramp Frt. Sight...Product Code 101254!!

If so...Even with the Original Box, Etc...In the Condition described...These generally barely make it past $1000-$1100 tops unless a Bidding War comes into play!!

Since it doesn't have the ridiculous hole in the side I would think that any offer over $1000. would be fair to both parties. if it were mine I would just
keep it rather than let some one steal it for less than that amount..

PROBABLY HAS THE OLD STYLE FIRING PIN ON THE HAMMER TOO !!!!!!

RO73,

Sorry about that...Yours is even a Later Variant!! Forgot to take into consideration it had a 6" Barrel rather than an 8 3/8"...Values run about the same though!!
