What would y'all consider reasonable pricing for a 550 round bulk box of Remington 22 LR? And Federal cheapo 22 LR in 50round boxes? I'm just not up to speed with this current market. Appreciate your input.

The last I saw at a gun show was 85$...I left it there with the vendor.

Exactly. The spread is crazy on pricing. GB is about like your gun show. And people are paying it. I'm thinking if I can get the bulk for about $30 out the door that's pretty good in this market. The Federal is $4 for a box of 50.

What's reasonable to me is $10/brick or bulk pack box of .22 LR. But I haven't seen any close to that price for a couple of years. I'm glad I laid in a good supply when it was much cheaper, the last I bought in quantity was about early 2012, I paid $15/brick for. I have noticed that the gun show gouger's prices have recently dropped from $100+ to about $60-70.

They're actually getting $50 on GB, maybe more when the bidding ends. It's nuts. I last paid $20+ at Walmart a couple of years ago.

"Reasonable" is what you are willing to pay for it and still find a way to justify to yourself that you got a good deal.

Hate to say this but if it sells for $50, that is the reasonable price.

If the seller can get it, more power to him. If the buyer is happy with it, more power to him.

I ain't payin' it.

But then again, no one has ever accused me of being a reasonable man.

$20-$22 is what i have been seeing locally.

I did however pay $4 for a 50rd box of Winchester superX subsonics. =-(

I paid $17.99 plus tax yesterday for a 325 round box of federal auto match at my local Academy. They also had 525 count boxes of Remington and Winchester for $21.99 plus tax. I also paid $3.79 plus tax for a 50 round box of CCI standard velocity 22lr on Monday.

Anything under $26 bucks would be reasonable these days. I just bought a few bricks of Federal (#510 - blue box) for 23.99 and 2 bricks of Remington Thunderbolts for $21.99 each. Normally I would not touch the Thunderbolts at ANY price because the quality has been terrible in past experiences, but I got a desperation attack.

I got out the door with the Remington golden doo-dahs (525) for $27 and the Federal 50 ct. boxes for $4 including tax so I'm feeling OK.

10 to 12 cents a round is the going price outside of Walmart around here.

I just purchased 3 bricks of 22 Winchester 555's for $30.49 + tax, and one brick of 22 Federal 325 for $17.99 + tax at Bass Pro Shops.
I was with my sister and we were only able to buy one box each, but went back the following day and picked up 2 more boxes.
Ended up with 1,990 rounds.

Just yesterday, I "won" a GB auction for 1,000 rounds of CCI Standard Velocity .22 rimfire, @ $115 + $22 shipping = almost $0.14/round. Outrageous, yes, but I needed more subsonic ammo to feed my newly suppressor-equipped .22s, so whatcha gonna do?

I think a brick of 500 for $25 is fair. Until it gets back to that price, I'm not buying.

I bought a case (250 rounds) of 12 gauge for $55 today. Thank goodness shotshells haven't gone up in price. When I go looking for .22LR and see it for $4.99/50, I usually just come home with a case of 12 gauge. :)

For me, I refuse to pay more than $20 for a brick of 22LR ammo. It's bad enough they went from $10 in 2008 to $20 in 2009. 22LR ammo has not doubled in price in 100 years but did in a few months in 2008... I fear it will happen again and when the prices finally do drop they won't drop below $40 or even $30/brick.

Bulk .22

Two months ago, i picked up 2 550 count boxes of Federal for $40 each at a LGS. In Rhode Island, bulk .22 is scarce and if you see it, you buy it. 6 to 8 months ago it was going for 27.99, at Walmart.

Our Walmart's don't sell guns, so thier ammo supply has been non-existant. For any and all .22, you have to look in the LGS.
