OK, just when I thought I was done accessorizing....my 15-22 want's a buttpad :) I have the standard adjustable stock still on it.

Let me know which one you have, and particularly how well it fits on and stays on the 15-22 butt. And I wouldn't mind picking up another 1/2" of length.

Just spend $150 and pick up a Magpul ACS and 0.7" extended buttpad. As for m4 stock buttpads, I don't know.

It's hard enough to obtain a proper firing position with this rifle as the stock is much too long (longer than the full caliber version) and you want to lengthen it? The stock really needs to be in a click or two or you'll never get your nose to touch the charging handle.

But Chuck, I don't want to run my sensitive nose into the charging handle when I shoulder the rifle. Besides, the butt pad protects my rifle's butt and catches the S&W tube plug should it fall out.

I'm equipped with a scope most of the time, so I don't mind keeping my nose back just a bit more.

What I would really rather have is some "tilt" to the stock so that the receiver sits higher. That may be the weakest part of the 15-22 design -- that the stock extension tube is integral to the rest of the frame and so can't be replaced/adjusted.

I agree 100%
Also comfort.
