Whats the difference?

One of them has the birdcage( A1 compensator/threaded barrel) the other doesnt. If you look under the info, it plainly shows the pcitures of each gun. Most likely why its listed as a "T" is its the threaded barrel. S&W doesnt list it as a T model, but this site does apparently. But for THAT price.. get both. lol I paid 487.59 for the "T" model. Its actaully SKU # 811033 as that site does list. But since its so cheap may as well get the threaded barrel. But keep in mind your state laws as far the barrel and magazine capacity goes. Certain states only allow a maximum of 10 rounds per magazine, and certain states dont allow threaded barrels either. THANK GOD here in Ky, its not like that! That is a GREAT price on that gun, THANKS for sharing that site!

Its not the actual .223 its a typo.. sort of.. they left off the 22 after the 15. Look lower down it shows the 15 22 info, and and even lists it as a 15 22 also the rifle doesnt have a forward assist as well. They are both a 15 22, just threaded or non. Its also a A1 sytle flash hider. It even lists it as such if you match the SKU number on the site to S&W's. But really whats the difference in the 2 anyway? And I FULLY agree.. thats a GREAT price. Wished I would have gotten mine for that, instead of close to 500 cash.

My typo on the A2 comp. The A1 has slots all the way around and the A2 is solid on the bottom.
When I looked in the links I saw they were both the 15-22. My answer was based on the typed in letters and numbers.
Maybe I can convince the boss I need another 15-22 because they are at a lower price now

Ya, I figured as such. But While I knew you would come back to read a reply to your post, I wanted to ask about the differences on the 2. Now I know.. thanks for the education. And its weird, local shops still have these for 487.59 for the threaded version, yet S&W has them aobut $100 bucks higher.. must be that "rifle of the year award"
I might have to move, lol. I'm not sure what it is on mag capacity in IL especially this county since they just passed some new laws.

I think your right about S&W being pretty proud of their award. Guess it pays to shop around and not just go with the first place. Maybe it is their way of helping sales go to smaller companies.

They have special requirements per county? I'm sorry. Some day there will be more liberal laws. Meaning more liberties.
They had a handgun ban in Chicago but the supreme court over turned it. Now they are trying to adopt some California laws. But i'm 5mins from Indiana so i'll just go there.

Five minutes from Indiana? Happen to be in Louisville Ky? If so lets hit the range some time, as I live there as well. But im kind of lost. Dont you have to be a resident of a state to buy a firearm there?.. never mind.. FFL.. answered my own question. I had one of those moments where the brain doesnt work right .. happens alot lately.. where am I? lol

Go to the 15 22 case thread. I left a link to a gun bag I own and its GREAT.. veryyyy durable.. great prices onthem as well.

The regulations in Cook County are no assault weapons and no magazines over 10 rounds. But if you're 5 min from IN, are you still in Cook County?
Also, Cabela's is in Cook County and they sell magazines of all sizes and don't ask where you're from (as long as you have a FOID). I live in Cook County and there were no issues getting my XDM9 with 19+1 magazines from Cabela's. In terms of City of Chicago laws, the guy at Cabela's said the new regulations don't affect them in any way (except giving them more business).
GAT guns (DuPage County I believe) doesn't seem to have any magazine limits as they sell it all too (and lower sales tax)

I'm still in cook. i'm 5 mins from will county too. Not sure what Cook has but if all goes well with test it wont matter.

I'm looking for something that will hold 2 handguns also for transporting to range and storage. Like this UTG since it has the outside zipper pocket that i can use to hold mags and keep 2 handguns on inside with rifle.

Most places will still sell it but it's up to the buyer to make sure it's legal in there state/county.

My drag bag will hold that... and more. Inside the large front pockets are straps for locking weapons in place, just like the 2 rifle slots. One more is inside the actual rifle compartment itself. A pouch at the rear end with a set of locking straps. I keep ALOT of stuff in mine, and a XD9 and at times a 1911. I have no issues with all of the things I need to carry all in one handy drag bag. You may want a hard case, but for all I carry.. and its ALOT, this drrag bag is perfect.
The Condor case I picked up at GAT has two sections, one section to hold a rifle, the other section is the same size but divided in half so you can put two hand guns in, they're padded and the pocket seals with velcro. I think it's a 42" but costs $80.
Hmmmm, well the county border is basically behind my house and I only ever go to the range in DuPage county. I'll just make sure not to speed...

In the state of WA we can own a suppressor/silencer but cannot put it on your gun and use it

we also have an unlimited magazine capacity but the M&P-15-22 I bought recently has the 10 round magazine, no problem I just ordered 2x 25 round mags from GT distributers for $15 each

* Must obtain a Chicago Police Department firearm permit. Applicants must be 21, have a valid FOID card from the Illinois State Police and an affidavit signed by a state-certified firearms instructor, among other requirements. Permit fee is $100, expires in three years and must be submitted in person at police headquarters. [note that ISP has 30 days to process and approve a FOID permit, CPD has 120 days to process a city permit application and 45 days to approve it, meaning it could take 195 days before you can get a firearm, plus the 1/3 day waiting period for long guns/handguns]
* Firearm sales are banned in the city (purchases must be made outside Chicago)
* Gun training totaling four hours in a classroom and an hour on a firing range are required for a permit.
* Firing ranges are banned in the city (training must be completed outside Chicago)
* To transport a gun, it will have to be broken down, not immediately accessible, unloaded, and in a firearm case.
* Firearms may be possessed only inside the dwelling. It is illegal to have a gun in the garage, on porches or in the yard. Guns are not allowed in hotels, dorms and group-living facilities.
* Owners must register each gun they own within five days of purchase and are allowed to register only one handgun per 30-day period. Registration fee is $15 each and expires in 3 years.
