If you think I yak a lot here and have a high post count you should see how much I yak on another forum, I have over 12,000 posts there and still going strong.
Maybe I could trade the 12,000 for a gun somehow, & maybe the posts here for a few cases of ammo. ( Y )

I agree that for a person who joined, in say April of this year, to have 6 or 7 hundred posts already they must live on the computer. To my knowledge there are not any awards for the number of posts, so these people are probably trying to be helpful to fellow members. I have received good info a number of times myself. Don't worry about it and enjoy the Forum...
