What's your favorite K frame?

This one.

Maybe this one.

But I really like this one too.

I honestly can't decide.

My favorite is my first, a 6 inch model 14-3. It has the 3 Ts and is easily my best shooting K frame. I bought a matching model 17 also.

No question the 66/19 2.5" is my all time favorite K frame, however my 4" 17-6 isn't far behind.

I know this is against the question of choosing only one favorite K-frame revolver, but I'd like to show y'all my two favorites; Model 15 and Model 19. In my humble opinion, the two finest models S&W ever produces.

Thanks for looking at my two favorite S&W K-frame revolvers.

God bless,

Once I would've said the 4" Model 19. Now.....

It has to be the much unloved Model 12s. I've got 3 snubbie 12s (RB, SB, & a pre 12 alloy cylinder RB). All of these are "flat latches". I also just acquired a 4" SB from 1980. There is just something I love about them!!

My first K frame was a 4" blue M19, bought new in 1979. I round butted it and carried it to the police academy. Shot NRA Expert with it. An ex-wife wound up with it. :(

I bought a nice nickel 4" M19 in 2006. My wife wound up with it. At least I still have this wife and she lets me clean HER M19.

I bought a factory round butt 4" .38 M&P from a fellow Forum member a year or so ago. It is a good shooter.

Some day I'll get another 4" M19 or a M66. If it isn't a RB, it will be soon. :D

2.5" 19's & 66's are good, so are 3" 13's & 65's....a nice 2" 15 is pretty sweet as well....nothing wrong with a 2" 64 either......

Old thread and a long time since my first response................. love my 3" 66s ........ but now have to add a 90% pre-18 I picked up last spring......nothing like a 4" K-frame .22 for a fun day at the range or one not "too nice" to carry when you have the chance to spend the day in the Penn's Woods!!!!!
