Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

Finished this one today. Received earlier this week, but only got the Apex trigger kit today. You can't really see that addition. This is one of those mutt 442 PCs with the Wyatt Deep Cover cylinder, trigger, release, and plastic grip. The price was too good to pass up!

I was originally going to do the Altamont magna-style grips, but I found these monochrome G10 ones on eBay for a good price. Are they a perfect fit to the frame? No, but good enough. The Tyler T-Grip was also a pretty inexpensive eBay find since it was scuffed up. Some Mother's and it looks good. It's an older Tyler marked one, but nearly all of that was rubbed away before I got it.

Now just need a range report...

Just got sent this 2nd hand Safariland Holster from Great Britain. It's for my Sig P228. These discounted holsters are on eBay and meant to be ex-Department of Defence. Sorry for the poor quality photo.

This will actually be two of my last purchases in one photo, Vortex rings and a PSA kit that I had bought on Father's Day Sale for $379 shipped to host a Zeiss 1.5x15 Diatal. I had an Anderson lower already and the butt stock and now will need to get a 1/4x28x1/4 set screw to reduce the awful trigger creep and long take up.
The other purchase were just some replacement Chapman bits for my old screwdriver set that I bought at Denny's Shooters supply a few decades ago.

I just bought a Rem 870 Express for my son. He graduates high school next week and I thought it might be a fitting gift. Nothing fancy, but its brand new and all his. I also picked up a rifled 20" barrel with sights to go with it.

He has just enlisted in the army, and is waiting for confirmation on when he is to begin his basic training.

With a couple months until he turns 18, I can't legally give him the shotgun until he has a firearm license.

When that happens though, I'll open my safe and let him pick out a 1911 to go with his new scattergun.

Since my last update:

Aimpoint CompM2
Photo not my red dot, but same.

66-2

Norinco 56s.

Must not spend any more $!

Just picked up this baby from a local private seller yesterday - Colt Diamondback .22LR 4". Have not tried it yet at the range, may go soon, cannot wait.

Canik TP9SF Elite S. If you aren't familiar with Caniks, they are solid, quality firearms...browse the reviews.

Haven't shot it yet, picked it up today from my FFL.

LGS came back from a show with four of these...I bought pick of the litter a few months back, and grabbed another a few weeks after that for parts...but shoot them both. Nice, solid medium size pistols, but don't dry fire and be careful about too hot ammo. I ran some 147 gr and broke the barrel link on one of them...I think it was the ammo. Found a replacement part and am back in action, but battling stove pipes...maybe ran too wet, or something. Will have to work on it. Both mine were made in 1978.

Yeah I finally got to the range. It shot pretty well, not as well as my Remington R1 but I've only had it out once. I ran about 100 rounds through it and I had a couple hiccups. Three FTEs and I got a little hammer bite fit it shoots smooth.

Skeeter Skelton once wrote that carrying an extra magazine for a Hi-Power was like carrying coals to Newcastle...in other words, superfluous. I got a boatload of coals in this deal.

First trip to the range today was an eye-opener. After running two boxes of ball ammo through it I opened up what I thought was a box of old Federal 115 gr HP duty ammo. It turned out to be 30-year old lead RN practice ammo. It ate that, too and a full magazine of Barnes TAC-XPD. It's like the first time I drove a new Cadillac.

How about carrying an extra HP or two......seriously I added the top one just the other day......a find at the local pawn shop.

This is my second 92S in few weeks. I had not shot a model 92 before buying the previous one. Smooth shooters on the cheap.

This 10–8 followed me home today.......very inexpensive so it was hard to say no to another rather ubiquitous model 10. But I like the shorter barrel.....a 3inch inch and combat grips that certainly are not native to the gun.

Attended the Waxahachie Texas gunshow yesterday and bought a NEW Walther PPS 9mm in the box with everything for 300 cash.
I like it's size, and Walther quality.
