Here's mine:

I'll bet you're never late for an appointment. :D

Since we're dreamin'...

4566 size, frame mounted decocker & bobbed hammer, curved backstrap, adjustable sights, SS frame, chambered in .460 Rowland with compensator. MMMMMMM....:D

5946! Novak nite sights, flat grips, several stainless 15 round mags(nothing wrong with Mec-Gars!!) a boat load of 9mm ammo and time to shoot it! And the round trigger guard. Dale

There are a lot of variations in how S&W went about making their semi-autos over the years. They all are great guns, but ive notices the type which always stops me in my tracks at the gun store are any with Rabbit-ear sights. Curved grips ,Adjustable sights, and rounded trigger guard represent the "Holy Triad" of S&W semi autos. If I see those three features I wont care about the caliber or finish, just how many days are left until payday. That said, I have been known to accept a square trigger guard model on occasion, just to broaden my horizons. :D

After reading another post about someone else's preferences being Novak sights, whats the "Holy Trinity" mean for you fellow aficionados ?

THE ONE AND ONLY S&W 1911

I've owned a few S&W 3rd Gen autos that I really regret selling. The first one was the greatest 9mm that I've ever owned. It was a Performance Center 5906 IDPA just like the one that Palmetto pictured above. I foolishly sold it to a member of this board for short money..I really miss that gun. I've also owned 3 Performance Center Shorty .40's that had to go away to help pay for my divorce.

Currently I am very happy with my 4013TSW with light rail..I hope that I never have to part with this one..Down the road I hope to be able to buy another 5906DPA.

Perfect (for me) to carry is my 6946...re-lamped Trijicon night sights, double action only, 5900 series 15-round magazines with adapters.

Perfect as high in cool factor would be 39-2

I would have to say without a doubt, this is my favorite S&W
auto. It shoots good and fits my hand like a glove. Seems to eat whatever I feed it. It's a real fine gun.

Small and sweet Model 469, stock and ready to go. No fancy goodies(I'm cheap lol). Love the square, serated trigger guard for old hands. Little heavier than my Kahr CM9, but holds 13 real bad 9mms.

After 23 years working with them in the Army, seems my grip, stance and muscle memory are all firmly established in the 1911 mold. Tried others, but always come home to the original:

Guess its my "centennial" 1911.
Had to dump thaty "gas pedal" ambi safety first thing, however.

A 4506-1 with the grip/butt shaped like a 52 or 639, Novak sights and trigger guard like an early no-dash 4506 or 645.
