I was digging through my revolver/.22 rifle safe today, looking for a Colt rimfire pistol I have. Didn't find it.

What I DID find was a 34-1 that I have NO memory of ever buying!

It has to be somewhat recent as there's no pistol rug holding it. Just sitting there bare, on the top shelf of the safe, piled up on the others.

Needless to say, there WILL be a complete inventorying of my safes this weekend!

Do you love it, or hate it, when that happens? I try to tag them and add them to my spreadsheet when I bring them home, and yet, every once in a while one pops up I don't remember buying. That's better though than when I can't find the one I know I did buy. . . . . Good luck.

Well, I have good luck finding them as I'm the only person accessing my safes. I too use a spreadsheet, but I know it's short by 2-3 guns, maybe a couple more?

If I didn't know better, I'd start to think I've reached saturation point in my collecting.............. :D

Supposed to rain all this weekend. No motorcycle riding, TN football is a bye this week, so a perfect time to wipe everything down & update that inventory list, IMO. ;)

I too am subject to those senior moments. I attempt to overcome those problems by jotting down any acquisitions on a small tablet until I can update my permanent list.

That's actually mine, I was just having you store it for me. You can send it back now, thank you.

I have no idea when you bought it. But, if you shoot it, I'm sure you will be glad you have it. Kit Guns are wonderful!

Years ago, when my wife first shot one of mine, I had to go get her one for herself, since she was planning to confiscate mine. :D

I'm pretty sure I ordered mine in the early 80s from Emroe's in Indianapolis. I just had it out of hibernation this past weekend and fired four different ammunitions in it to see what I had on hand that it might like best.

When I bought it I also ordered (from Gil Hebard) a set of target stocks, which I used for years until I realized there is no real need for them on a .22. They're ok if you like them, but for me, they disturb the balanced look of the gun. I put the magnas back on the gun years ago and like it just fine that way. Tough little gun to shoot accurately. Concentration is required. :D

Well, I have a Model 63, which is why I bought the 34 (I think).

I agree, they're wonderful guns.
