Looooook into my eyes. Now follow the swinging gold watch and repeat after me,"It will neeeevvveeeerrr eeennnnddd, it will neeeeeeevvveeeeer eeeennnnndddddd."
Ok. This has nothing to do with weapons, but the above reminded me of a joke I heard on the radio a few years back.
Omar the hypnotist was reaching the twilight of his years as a vaudevillian entertainer but he still enjoyed putting on a performance for the elderly once and awhile. He was doing his show one afternoon in the recreation hall of an old folks home in front of quite a number of residents.
He spoke in a soft rich voice and informed the group that he would be hypnotizing them and they would be all right. The audience murmured among themselves that they couldn't be hypnotized. I'm sure you could imagine the soft rumbling yourself.
Well, Omar reached into his pocket and produced the most beautifully engraved silver pocket watch that ever dangled from a silver chain that you ever saw. You just knew that this watch had been in front of many shows.
He instructed his audience to gaze upon the watch as he slowly began twisting the chain.
In his deep commanding voice, Omar spoke.
"Gaze unto this watch" he intoned. "Look at how it sparkles in the light. Watch the watch, Do not look away. You cannot look away".
Slowly, Omar began to rock the watch from side to side as it twisted. The sparkle caught the eye of every resident. As Omar skillfully rocked the watch from side to side you could see his audiences heads slowly beginning to follow the time piece. Slowly left, then gently right, "Watch the watch" Omar intoned. "Keep your eyes on the watch". Back and forth, back and forth.
Just then the chain SNAPPED and the elegant time piece flew in the air as if in slow motion. The audience followed the watch as it plummeted to the stage floor where it smashed in hundreds of pieces.
"Oh C**P" Omar yelled.
Ya know, it took almost two weeks to clean up that rec hall.......
