When will the M&P magazine supply issue be solved

Not only did they pull the M&P9 17rd, they pulled the M&P9c 12round also.

a buddy of mine in another town picked one up for me at his local gunshop. Its used factory mag but still looks brand new. $25 plus tax

Not only did they pull the M&P9 17rd, they pulled the M&P9c 12round ones also. What's with this company, are they trying to put a nail in the coffin in their M&P product line? Never mind all us disappointed and disgruntled M&P owners, how long are the Shareholders going to put up with a company managed like this?!?
You can order them over the phone. They had over 2 million orders in 2 weeks for magazines online. This crashed their server. Stop freaking out :P

I called S&W as Capt_Destro pointed out and I'm able to order them, but they are out of stock and I will be in the backorder line. For reference to those seeking them elsewhere, cost is $41.82 +6.50 shipping.

Greetings from Cleveland. I am new to these forums, so please bear with me. Bought my M&P9 FS 5 months ago and am having the same issue finding mags. Wanting to begin 2 gun competition at my club. Bought the M&P for that purpose. 3 mags are needed, and I have 2. Does anyone have a 15 (Conn compliant) or 17 rnd they would sell? I have seriously started looking at Springfield XD9 FS due to the availability of mags.
Bought the M&P22 and just bought M&P15 Sport...sold on Smith, but loyalty is wearing thin.
Thanks

I own five M&P 9mm pistols of various model numbers, but my irritation is steadily increasing that Smith & Wesson has not sold a factory 17 round 9mm M&P magazine to fit these pistols directly to a consumer online for almost a year now, does not even list them on their website and does not positively respond with real information to customer or media questions or complaints about the near complete non availabilty of any normally needed pistol accessories for the M&P 9. Of all the shortages in the gun world, ammunition, firearms or accessories, my own impression is that the M&P 9mm 17 round magazine is the worst, and the most classic definition of Unobtanium. A few months of shortage is one thing, but no availability at all for over a year is another thing entirely. Even Glock caught up for a while. I've diligently read articles and forums about this and no one in or out of the loop has ever presented any facts indicating that Smith & Wesson is really doing much of anything to address this chronic problem, or even that anyone at S&W gives a rip. A year should be enough time in any manufacturing chain to correct this kind of problem-supporting owners should be a manufacturer priority of the first order, not their last concern in the world.

I was considering buying an M&P 15-22, but I've come to think that Smith & Wesson's after market support for its owners is so crappy that I'll not be buying any more Smith & Wesson products. Who would even think about buying an M&P 9 now? Even if you can find and buy the pistol, you are then out of luck. You have not been able to buy any common accessory for an M&P 9mm, especially a standard capacity magazine, for about a year, and absolutely no one can or will try to offer you even a shred of hope about if or when you ever will be able to buy accessories for what you just bought. What if you wanted an M&P for 3 gun? Certainly you'd not buy one, as no additional mags could be bought.

I have enough magazines to support hobby shooting because I own several of these pistols and bought extra mags a long time ago (but, I wanted to buy some extra tan mags for my VTAC-if you think black mags are impossible, try the factory tans!), but it's gotten my attention that Smith & Wesson could not seem to care less whether I was a happy and well equipped owner or not. You can own the pistol, but not the accessories to support your pistol. I do not care whether there are reasonable explanations, political, economic, or not. My view as a consumer is that a manufacturer either supports me if I buy one of their firearms, or not. This is the worst case of "not" I've ever experienced-I've moved on to Ruger, FN, Sig and Browning. My loyalty is not wearing thin-it's gone. I just can't imagine that anyone would buy an M&P 9 if they knew what would happen to them when they tried to buy an accessory for it.

Not a rant, just my view as a disappointed owner of an otherwise nice firearm.

It's definitely frustrating not being able to get a m&p 9 magazine. Cabelas had tons of glock msgs but only 1-2 s&w mags. I just 1-2 full size mags for my .40 to 9mm conversion in my full size m&p

The mags are available here in the Midwest, I purchased 6 17rd mags in the last month for $32 ea from Quantico Tactical in Junction City Ks. They are getting shipments on a regular basis. I am just waiting on some Shield mags now

Is that LEO only? I'm heading to Manhattan in Sept. I know I called them a few months back to be out on a list for a shield and was told they can only sell S&W to LEO

Frustrated as well. Only had the 9c a couple of months and love the gun but need more mags. To make matters worse I live in the socialist country of California and can't even buy the ProMags 17 that are available.
I'm already shopping for a second handgun and doubt it will say Smith & Wesson on it. I want something I can get mags for.

Are you military or first responder? Then you could get a M&P, but accessories are for anyone

Still No M&P9c Mags.....

8 Months and counting since I put an order in for 2 extra M&P9c for my December purchase. I remain humored every month when I received my issue of NRA's AMERICAN RIFLEMAN. Smith-Wesson finds it fitting to put a full page ad for the M&P series showing a women doing an empty mag drop with a full one to follow-up with. Something that none of us customers can do since they don't seem to be able to fulfill our open mag orders.

I love seeing that advertisement as well.

I have 17 round S&W M&P 9mm magazines.

Let me know if any one needs some. I ran across a bunch and bought them.

Need 10 Rd 9mm Magazine(s) for Std M&P (Pro)

If anyone knows of ANY available brand of 10 round Magazine for the standard M&P, please contact me or post. I am delaying purchase of an M&P Pro until I know I can get at least one 10 round magazine for it. I live in Hawaii (great weather and bad politics...), where possession of a magazine holding more than 10 rounds is considered a felony. I would love to have an M&P, but without a magazine for it, what's the point?

At least I still have my Sig and the, "appropriate" magazines for it.. Thanks for any help!

Hey scrosier, just be patient a little more things have improved greatly. I just recently got 4 9mm mags 17 rd though. Believe it or not they came from midway which seems to never have anything in stock that I need. Just have your money ready and have them email you when what you want comes in and buy buy buy! I am surprised they dont have the 10 rounders though in stock . Have you tried 44 mag.com? Now if powder would jusst loosen up wewould all bea happier people, lol!

scrosier, give Michelle a call at the Oceanside, Ca.'s Quantico Tactical store.
i got my 40FS Cal-compliant 10rd from them.

they've gotten a lot of M&P mags in and maybe they have the 10rd ones for the 3 for $78 deal.
