Where can I get a flash hider/muzzle brake for the 15-22???

I just placed an order with Midway for the Scherer adapter and a flash hider. It's inexpensive enough that if I'm not satisfied I can consider having the barrel threaded at some point in time. Anxious to see what the adapter actually looks like and how it mates up with the flash hider I ordered.

Which ones did u buy? Got any pics?

Belt Fed,

There are several problems in Kalifornia. The first is that the law is frequently vague, ambiguous, and even contradictory. The second is that most LEO's are not "gunnies" and may not apply the law correctly. The assault rifle law out here has effectively done away with flash hiders on centerfire rifles. Rifles chambered for the 22 LR, as you noted, have been exempted. The problem is running into an LEO that thinks flash hiders are illegal in general. And, any barrel that is threaded is viewed as silencer ready. So, the gunnies I hang around with won't even consider doing something that could result in the temporary confiscation of their "black" 22 rifles. The "compliant" 15-22 for Kalifornia doesn't have the option of a flash hider. Heck, we think it's great that our compliant model has the 6 position stock! I'm still envious of you guys just for being able to have 25 round mags!

I bought the MOE from Turner's Outdoorsman. Flash hider installed on a threaded barrel, right off the shelf. Your fine

edit: Ah, you know now :)

Jav, that quote is from a post I made well over a year ago when I wasn't aware I was operating from out of date info. Lady Fox immediately corrected me and I did a bunch of research into California law. I'm well aware of what you are saying. Have fun with that MOE - nice. Cheers.

Woahhh..I had no clue I was posting in a thread from a year ago hahah. It was brand new to me. I read Ladyfox's response soon afterwards so I edited my post. I just took it out today after a few weeks of inactivity, performed flawlessly :) Cheers back.

Trueshottechnologies.com make a flash hider for a non threaded 15-22 barrel for $18 that attaches with three set screws

I have an adapter that uses one fairly large set screw that is flush when tightened so you don't see it at all. And you can put any flash hider, muzzle brake or anything else threaded 1/2-28.
Have them for the 10/22 and the Colt/H&K/Umarex also.

Are you saying have one for sale? If not, where can I buy an adapter like that?

Any end of barrel device that is threaded 1/2-28.
Some suppressors require a spacer because they require a .4 length of thread for some wacky proprietary reason.
The standard length of thread is .625 or 5/8

Yes, all the tacticool22 stuff is me.
The T22 logo by itself or in a Military style patch should tie everything together.

If I am doing something wrong or confusing or whatever, let me know in a PM so I can make it right. This is a small company trying to grow into a bigger company. Our products are better than most large companies though, because we know how to manufacture. They know how to market.
End rant;)

Metric huh?
The 15-22 is 1/2-28 x 5/8 pretty typical worldwide. Not exclusive, just typical.
1/2 inch is 12.7mm
28 threads per inch is 28 threads in 25.4mm
.625 or 5/8 inch is 15.9mm
.4 inch is 10.6mm
End of barrel device can be a flash hider, muzzle brake, golf ball launcher (not sure if they make metric golf balls) potato launcher, Etc, Etc.

If I removes the barrel myself, how hard would it be to thread it on a lathe? My brother has access to one at work. So do I just tell him to thread it at 1/2x28 and the machine will take care of it or does it actually involve some degree of skill? I'm asking cuz I don't know how those lathes work.
