WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CC HOLSTER?

I am a small dealer who teaches & sells CC weapons & gear. I have had no action on holsters. I handle a lot of the best brands of hybrids. (leather+ Kydex) I am wondering what percentage of the CHLs we're teaching are actually carrying.
I want to know what you guys think.

Do you actually carry?
Do you carry the same gun all the time?
Do you carry every day?
What kind of holster/ carry device do you prefer?
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR HOLSTERS??

Answer any or all of these you want. I'm only polling the equipment source.

I carry every day. I have several different carry guns for different uses and style of dress. My most common carry is a Colt Commander in .45acp. However, sometimes I just get a notion to carry a revolver. I prefer something small and light for my daily walk, but go for a big bore wheelgun when camping or hiking.
Most any gun I own which is suitable for carry has a holster for it.
I have purchased holsters from gun shops, at gun shows, on line and had some made. In fact, I'm currently having one made now.
I prefer Avenger style holsters, but do own a number of pancakes as well.
All my holsters are leather. I have no more use for a plastic holster than I do for a plastic gun.

Yes, I do carry.

I have different handguns for different purposes. For instance, my woods gun is not the same as going to the city gun, and neither one of those is my EDC.

I rarely carry around town here. I'm okay with situational awareness and a knife. However, I always carry: at night (when I have to go somewhere, but not in my house), at the beach, in the woods, and anytime I have to drive any kind of distance. Now, I know there some who would tell me I should carry all the time, period, but I'm okay with that. When I lived in Seattle, it was 24/7.

I use the Galco Combat Master for almost all my handguns. OWB, pancake, at 4:00 o'clock. It's made from my favorite material for a holster, leather.

I said almost, because I use a Simply Rugged to lug my Ruger Super Redhawk snubby, and that's my woods gun. I use the Galco for the rest of my carry guns.

And I buy them from a gun store, on line, or directly from the manufacturer.

1 Yes...since the mid 80s with a Walther PPK & Sparks Summer Special

2 No..... 90% of the time since 1990 it's a 3913NL/14.....but the Cabin/Mountain Gun is a 3" 66 or 60-10.......sometimes a 6906 or Beretta 92 Compact if I want a hi-cap or 92 Type M(single stack 8+1).......the PPK is still my Tux gun

4 Been using Milt Spark's Summer Special for concealed carry of autos and revolvers or Executive Companion for 6906 or Compact Beretta 92s. I like Bianchi 111/Cyclone holster for woods carry.

FWIW a LGS was the source of my Sparks Executive Companions..... used....but as new..... for about $25 each.

Yes, 98% of the time a Kimber Tactical Ultra CDP. When open carrying on the ATV, a Glock 22.

Had I been able to find the holster I wanted locally I would have bought locally.

In my experience, the mechanics of how a gunshop operates works against holster sales. In that regard there's been no progress since the 60s.

This past February, while in USA, I visited a half dozen gun shops in the L.A area, specifically for holsters. And as it has been for at least a half century, I found: an unorganised display of a few dozen holsters often in aging plastic bags or boxes; and staff who were actively disinterested in selling holsters. Staff and customers were instead clustered around the handgun cases and it took quite a concerted effort on my part to drag a sales person away. In every case!

So it's really self-serve if the shop has the brand, has the model, has the size, has the colour, and has it in left and right hand. Which they can't; just too darned many variants.

One salesman told me customers don't buy leather holsters any more, and instead buy moulded plastic.

If any of that resonates with you, then your shop could be amongst the few to do anything about it.

I usually buy my custom holsters direct from the manufacturers online. Smaller brands like these are direct.

Bigger brands like Galco or DeSantis I usually buy who has the model the cheapest online. I google and find the lowest price.

Yes I carry everyday. FN Five Seven carry IWB usually. Also carry a Glock 19 sometimes. 9mm Shield sometimes. And a few K/L Frame revolvers. Occasionally a J Frame.

1. Yes, I carry.
2. Yes, I carry the same pistol all the time, but I also have a couple 'back-ups' that I stay proficient with.

4a. I Front Pocket carry my Shield in a Galco Pocket Protector.
4b. I IWB carry my G19, G26 and XDMc in a CrossBreed Super Tuck, which my CHL Instructor recommended and carried a selection of, in his store.
5. If always give my LGS first chance at my money (support the local businessman). If he doesn't have what I want, I buy online.

I carry IWB and use kydex from Dale Fricke and kydex/leather from Theis and White Hat. All well made and conceal nicely. Very comfortable and not all that expensive. I can put them on in the morning and take them off at night . They allow for tucking your shirt in, are very stable and re holster with no problems.

Been carrying everyday for years. Most times now I carry on the waist band with a Snubbyfan strong side are weak side holster. J frame of course.
