What are your favorite websites/stores to buy guns, especially used ones?

I feel like a lot of FFL are just way to pricy

I keep an eye on gunbroker and once in a great while let a few moths out of my wallet. In fact I just took delivery on a birth year gun,but it's an off brand.

Local gun stores unless its something very specific. Online stores dont have that great a deals when you factor in shipping and transfer. Usually about the same $$ sometimes more

Because I have about 4-5 LGS's within 10-15 miles, I purchase all my firearms new and used from one of them.

Also it helps prevent building additions on my home.

Lots of places to buy guns other than places like online auction sites and online dealers. Friends,family,co-workers,acquaintances,hunting buddies, gun club members, pawnshops, fleamarkets, garage sales,Shotgun News,Arms List, classified sections on nearly every gun forum on the web,INCLUDING THIS ONE (highly recommended). After you've spent 30-40 years trying these methods, you will have built up a pretty good network of contacts and VOILA,people are calling YOU. Nothing to it. ;):D

I've gotten a few good deals on the internet, mostly here, also Northeastshooters.com, but the best have come mostly from my LGS. Used gun, reasonable or great price, try it out at the local range before I buy it (mainly if it's a fixed-sight revolver), no transfer fee and go home with the gun the same day.

From FFLs at gun shows, sporting goods stores, local gun stores, private sales with friends and coworkers, and I've been given several guns by friends and family members who just wanted them out of the house and to go to someone that would safeguard and care for them.

I have two gun shops I trust thoroughly. One is co-owned by a master gunsmith who does gorgeous trigger and action jobs on S&W revolvers. The other is solely owned (and staffed) by a retired cop. Both stores have done right by me for years. I've never bought a gun from a big-box store, and only one from a pawn shop.

LGS and internet. GB isn't bad as long as you wait for a good price or uncontested bid. I've bought a couple on this forum as well, great guys to work with too.

Xtsay you might try floridaguntrader.com. Its created and operated by the same guy who has one here in TX, I've done many deals using it to buy and sell. You can sell for no charge and buy as well. Its mostly local sellers so you have to meet ftf almost always. But no transfer fees or postage. Be careful and talk to the other party before meeting them and do take precations as needed.

I pretty much hit up any and all sources. For older out-of-production models it is mostly the internet (this forum and Gunbroker) and to a lesser extent gun shows. I always keep my eyes open on the local AZ forum for face to face deals as well. There are obviously LOTS of LGS in the Phoenix area and I think I've visited them all and bought from many of them. Whenever there is any new production gun that I want I almost always try to buy it locally in person to support local businesses and to avoid the (minor) hassel of FFL transfers. Unfortunately LGS usually aren't much good if I'm buying used older guns, since I'm usually looking for something fairly specific and it would be literally like a needle in a haystack trying to find what I'm looking for without the internet.

When I lived in FL, anywhere but SHOOT STRAIGHT!

I just got my first gun since selling ALL my guns back in FL. My cousin (FFL holder) got it from SOG. He buys a lot of guns from them.

Slim pickins in LGS in NJ, I shop online, only way to have access to virtually anything you want.

Anywhere with a decent price I guess. My 91/30 came from dunhams and my sd40 from mc sports. My next purchase will be from a toss-up of 2 local places.

No one particular place. While I have found stuff on GB, I have also bought guns in all the LGS, as well as from individuals and Club members. Ya never know what is going to present itself just when you least expect it to.
