Where does your state rank?

I didn't do the math but estimating the numbers, looks like just about 70-90 % of the population of just about every state owned a firearm. So I realize most people find firearms like Lay's potato chip and a person can't have just one(I own 16 myself), so that lowers the %age some but, come on folks. We out number the libs and should be able to take them on this issue easily. Just need to figure out how to make the voting more equal. Any suggestions?

Bogus numbers based upon averages of averages, a waste of time and energy.

I agree. A more representative number would be to compare the percentage of the population who own guns; US states vs other countries. I think our 2d Amendment would put us in first place.

There's no way this chart is correct...ain't NO way that California has more guns than Texas! Nuts, yes...flakes, sure...but guns? No way!

They have New Mexico matched up with Belgium.
They are friends and allies!
They make great guns,
And let's don't overlook those horses and waffles!
I almost forgot the beer.

I dunno. We may be catching up to them in the granola (fruits, nuts & flakes) department . Austin (aka Berkeley on the Colorado) has grown quite a bit in the last 30 years.

IMHO, anyone who is compiling numbers of weapons the populace has is also planning to take them away.

If you take a moment to actually read how they computed this, it assumes the SAME RATE OF GUN OWNERSHIP for every state. They just took the assumed total number of guns in the US relative to the total US population in 2007 (88.8 guns per 100 people) and applied that ratio to each state's population. Nobody compiled any state numbers.

It's infotainment with the emphasis on the tainment; the info part is worthless.
