I often have bought and seen some revolvers on gunsamerica for decent prices. You have to watch for them and the really good buys go really fast.
Centerfire often has very competitive pricing. I usually check the site below to see what the best prices on specific guns are and who has them in stock. Just enter the gun you are interested in. Here is one search for the 27.

Slickguns.com is a good place to go to for finding best prices. Type in a search, and it lists low to high prices of a weapon. It has saved me money. They do not sell guns, but list who has them. Had good luck with the vendors I bought from. Bob

galleryofguns.com That's where i got my governor from and they have their own lifetime service guarantee on top of the one Smith offers. They had the cheapest price by far.

For new guns, I've found that Sportsman's Outdoor has pretty good prices, and sometimes they have preowned guns as well!

thanks to everyone that responded I have heard good things about buds before I have also been watching gunbroker so know about what I could get one for on there. I have also been watching get a gun but have read somewhere that someone had a problem with them. I think I would feel better going with someone like buds gun shop.

I purchased my S&W from grabagun.com and was extremely happy. Not only were they the cheapest, but after I purchased mine (before it shipped) I noticed they lowered the price. I sent an email asking if they would honor the new price, which they did. They have earned my business.

thanks for the reply I have watch grab a gun and they are the cheapest I have found. the shipping is also the lowest I have found

Here's one at Bud's. I can't speak to current price ranges for it, but I've bought several guns from them with no problem, other than it takes almost a week for them to ship.

S&W M27 Classic 6RD 357MAG/38SP +P 4" $805.00 SHIPS FREE

Just remember that's cash price and they up charge for credit card use (which upsets me). I have found I can always beat Bud's price on places like GB, but buyer beware! If you go the GB route, you need to invest more time in checking into the person's record, their return policies (many offer none and refuse returns), their shipping costs and again, the surcharge for credit cards. Buying with a credit card gives you a lot of protection, and it's a method I normally insist on. The second option is to use USPS money orders, which offer some protection against fraud, but nothing to settle disputes such as whether an advertised item is NIB when it clearly is not. Personal checks, money orders (other than USPS), and worst of the worst: Wells Fargo leave you to the mercy of the seller, and unless the dealer has a sterling reputation or you don't mind running the risk of losing the money, I'd avoid using them like the plague.

EDIT: One other item about GB: There is an often overlooked tab labeled "Additional Terms of Sale". Don't overlook it! Once burned (not badly, fortunately) was once learned for me!

I've used Buds and Gun Genie through Gallery of Guns in the last couple of months and both worked well.
I really like Gun Genie, you select the gun, enter your zip code, and it gives you several local gun shop options for pick up with OTD pricing. Select one, put a down payment with a CC, then pay the balance at the gun shop. I ordered on a Thurs. and the gun was delvered on Monday. Only downside is you have to pay sales tax.
I was able to find a couple of shops in my area that were real close price wise to what I could of paid at GAG or Buds.
