Where is everyone buying bulk ammo for this gun at? I'd like to get either some CCI or something for it that is on the approved ammo list in bulk, I can't find it anywhere

Define Bulk?

Like 375 rounds, 550 rounds, 1000 rounds?

I get 375 or 550 round boxes at walmart for 11.47(375rds) and 18.97(550rds)

I got the bulk Federal from Cabelas last weekend. Was around $74 for 2100 rounds and an ammo box.

I'll second the Cabelas option. Their everyday price is $85 for 2100 rounds and the dry box. When it is on sale or get a deal on shipping I stock up. I get email deals occasionally for free shipping or $5 shipping with $150 or more purchase. I think it is a pretty sweet deal on ammo about .04 cents a round and a free box. I started buying all my ammo from them. They have good deals going on often. Just my two cents on bulk ammo. Hope it helps.

For "quality" bulk ammo. 5k Wolf Match Target for a bit under $430 delivered. 5k Aguila Match Rifle for a bit over $320 delivered. - Midway

For Winchester 333, Fed 550.... - Walmart

Cabela's Deal

Cabela's has one of those deals right now.

$69 for 2100 rounds plus the dry box.

Shipping (over $150) is $5, too.

Might work for some.

To me I don't see it being worth it. Unless you order 3 boxes, you're paying the same per round even at this price as Walmart (after including shipping from Cabelas and tax for Walmart) Even with 3 boxes you're only saving less than half a cent per round.

I was just saying...

I was checking USA made work boots on Cabela's and was just passing the info along.

A friend just gave me a box overflowing with 22LR ammo so Cabela's is just another option, if needed.

Your mileage may vary...

I assume he is talking about the list of recommended ammunition in the user's manual.

Now that S&W appears to have a handle on the 15-22 problems, I wonder if they are going to update that list or simply delete it from the manual? I can't believe that my 15-22 (DTX) is the only one that has absolutely no problem digesting anything and everything without any problems including the stuff S&W originally recommended not to use.

mine also handles anything I've feed it so far
its a DTX**** thats been updated by S&W

My DTX has not been updated by S&W. Only update on it is by me - JP spring kit, which lived up to the advertising and dropped the trigger pull to a nice 4 pounds or so. But my rifle worked fine with the original S&W springs.

well i have shot bulk remington and bulk winchester, not federal yet, both of which i had a box of around 600 both had 4 missfires and 4 missfeeds in the box

My DTMXXXX is the same. No problems with any ammo so far. RGBs have the expected 1 per 50 or so FTFs, but I get that with RGBs in ANY of my 22s. In fact both my P22 and my 10-22 have higher FTF rates with RGBs than my 15-22.

It's cheaper if you go to walmart if the dry box is not important to you

i may actually do one of these deals just to get the dry box, but i cant find that deal on cabelas site, anyone have a link?

I buy my bulk Federal .22 from Cabela's also. 2 orders for 4200 so far this year. Wait until it comes on sale, or at least free shipping (as said above).
Walmart near me still cannot keep them in stock (or CCI Mini Mag), and I just got tired of going by there every Monday morning to see if they got any in and still had some left.
I like the Cabela's dry boxes for holding stuff like gun cleaning supplies. I put my ammo in mil-surplus ammo cans. They seal much better, and well, ... I just like them.
I've always had quick, professional service from Cabela's.

I needed the dry box from Cabelas also so the bulk .22LR was a great buy for me. And I notice that the local Walmarts are out of stock of the Federal Bulk.
I need another box so I might order another 2100 rounds.

I tried shooting the Winchester 333 and I had about 5 FTE in one mag!

i have shot ALL of walmarts different ammos, other then the CCI and high velocity stuff the only bulk ammo that i had no misfires or FTE's in was federal, if your buying bulk buy federal
