I have a threaded barrel 9mm M&P that I purchased a year or so ago that I really like. So, I decided to get a 10mm. Unlike the 9mm which came in a black case, the 10mm came in a cardboard box. I know I can just buy a generic plastic case for it, but I'd much rather have black M&P case. Any idea where I can buy one?

Why as you should not store you pistol in a case . I have black blue and cardboard boxes but Mine get placed in a large storage box with other new handgun boxes and rarely ever seen again except to add a new box too .

Anyhow after a 1 minute bing search I found a number of blue s&w cases and others that would work just as well . Just remember that cardboard box has the info on it with your pistol info .

For the guy that could find a box heres a black fitted box - $$$ ha

Thanks for the link. That's exactly what I'm looking for sans the price. Ouch.

I don't currently have a way to display my pistols and I can only carry one at a time, so I'm curious why you wouldn't store a pistol in a case given the same circumstances.

That is a pretty nice case. I wish there was room to trim the foam for an optic. I'm looking for a single pistol case for for my M&P 10mm for air travel and don't want to have to dismount the optic. I'm going to go by bass pro and try out their Pelican and Boyt cases. I want one that's as small as possible to fit inside a hard side suitcase.

Some hard cases come with either solid sheets of foam or pieces that are serrated into cubes (pick and pluck). They're great for travel but I'm sure the foam will absorb moisture and not a good idea for long term storage.

You can also buy just the thin sheets of "pick and pluck" foam which allows you to custom fit the case. The cut-outs allow you to vary the size and depth. Even though it's called "pick and pluck" you do need a small sharp knife to slice through the little precut foam cubes. When you're done it will have a fairly good professional look.

The last time I traveled by air with a handgun, I made sure the case had a tsa approved lock. You can also cut out a section for a box or two of ammo - just be sure not to pack the ammo in the same case as the gun (definite no-no with TSA (or at least it used to be). You can always buy ammo when you get to your destination and your gun case will have a spot for it.

There's black one on ebay from an M&P 40 with the extras that has a make offer option.Don't know if your pistol will fit.

Bret I do not display firearms . No point in doing this . Not like m&p is unique enough to display . Foam can absorb moisture so if you do "display " your pistol in one be sure to use a plastic bag to place you pistol in and lube your pistol well .

I guess you can say I display firearms but thats a 850lb ft knox gun safe .

I checked the store fully expecting them to be there, but the weren't. Calling is a good idea.

Check out S&W online store. I have several of their single and two gun soft cases and really like them. They have magazine slots on one side (6 total) and two square, zipped pockets on the other side. They are priced competitively and serve well as range bags. Don't tell S&W, but one case is holding a CZ pistol!

I called S&W, but they don't offer them for sale. The customer service representative didn't know why. I think this falls in the category of sometime you can't give people money. Beretta offers their nice plastic pistol cases for $20ea (when you buy 2+) and free shipping if you buy five.
