Which 22lr revolver would fit my needs???

I like my 34 when I can get it away from my wife.

I think it is hard to beat a Model 63 stainless 4" barrel It is the smaller J frame which is easier to stick in your pocket when going to the coop than the K-22. It will last forever you can find great ones for $450 or $500. I don't know much about the new 8 shot 63 but I love the older ones.

A really beat mdl 43 - alum frame so paint goes quick and when seen in that condition can be had for under $300

I too was looking for a handy carry piece. I found a 90% M34 with 2" barrel and took it to
the range. Can keep 6s round in a rabbits head at 50', 4" dbl action at 7 yards. Put a set of Ahrends finger grooves on it, wow. I then got an Airweight M442 since I had the understudy. You wont carry it to the coop if it aint easy to carry.

I had never been aware of a model 43 till this past week, I will look at them, Found another 317 this weekend, It looked as though it had 10,000 rounds through it and the shop wouldnt budge under 400, I let it pass.
I am still hoping for a 34???!!!
See one? Let me know!
Thank you
Peter.

I just picked up this 63 today with box, papers and cleaning kit. The factory grips have been sealed away in a baggie since purchase which is OK as I like the feel of the Pachmayr's. I have about $450 in this one and even if I paid too much I'm very happy...

My only complaint with older model 63s was their stainless front sight blade. If you notice, S&W corrected this on their new 5" model of this gun, cost me an extra $40 to have Dave Clements to change mine.

My favorite "slip in the back pocket of the jeans" pistol for walks in the country is my S&W 317. Very light and compact. Problem is that it cost me more than my 642!
