Which 8 shot S&W ?

Am considering either a 327 PC or 627 PC udr . Would like to hear from current owners of either or both as to pros and cons. Primarily home defense but perhaps some carry. My feeling is the Scandium frame is probably not worth the extra $ ?

I would definitely go with the 627, especially if you are going to shoot 357s. I find the scandium guns kind of unpleasant in any size with magnums, but my 627 shoots fine with everything from 38 wadcutters to full bore 357s, and although it's heavy for a carry gun, with the right holster and belt it's not bad. I am partial to steel guns though...

I shot a 327 about 50 rounds, but did not like it. I have a 627 2 5/8 and like it a whole bunch. It is very shootable with full .357s, even with the small eagle grips it comes with. For my hand they work fine for carry.
