which angle is best for a cylinder chamfer?

I noticed on Brownells they sell 5,11, and 18 degree chamfering tools.....any opinions on this?

What you're refering to are cutters for the barrel forcing cone, which also gets called a chamfer. A 45 degree chamfer is usually used for chamber entries in revolvers.
