Hey everyone,

Proud owner of a new M&P45c as of this morning thanks to all of the great things I have read about them on this board! I must say that it looks and feels pretty darn nice.

(Took the safety out first thing. True or false that I can call S&W for plugs to fill the voids?).

Took it out to the range today and had less than ideal results as far as accuracy goes. Reliability was 100% through 150 rounds of tulammo. I sold my glock 23 to get the M&P and never had any trouble with accuracy with it. I just hated the feel of it in my hand. I feel like I was shooting all over the place today with the M&P. I wonder if some of that has to do with using a bigger round that I am not used to and maybe I am trying to anticipate the recoil which is screwing me up? But I must say that I dry fired a M&P in the gun store with an apex trigger and it sure was SWEET! I see a ton of options on the apex website and was looking for advice on which kit to get?

Go with the Fss Kit from apex with the aluminum Trigger... I have it on my 9 mm and I intend to get it for my new 40 full size ... Its super sweet.. a lot of people refer it to a feel of a 1911 Ive never fired one.. But I have fired many glocks and the trigger feels better then that... and I really like the built in safety on the middle of the trigger

I've never felt the need to swap out the trigger itself in my m&p pistols. Each has a apex kit though. The 40 FS has the comp kit, it registers a hair under 3lb 4 oz. The 40C has the duty carry kit, it's at 5lb 4 oz. The 40 shield has its duty kit and I have yet to install the usb and spring, but it's at 6lb 1oz. All vastly improved from stock.

i just put in a apex dcaek kit in my 45 and am waiting for the aek poly trigger kit to show up/

Planning on running the factory trigger spring to start out with and see how it is, should be somewhere in the mid 4 pound range and much better take up and over travel with the aek trigger.

If its that good my 9mm fs is getting the same or similiar, as i really like the m&p's and am fairly new to them, but the triggers are just **** IMO.

I have M&P45c, M&P40c & Glock 27. I had gotten used to Glock 27 trigger as well. The Glock 27 is slightly more defined from factory than my M&P triggers, I tried all grips & found the medium helped my shot with the M&P45c & M&P40c by better finger / trigger placement. I thought about replacing trigger as others have, but really have adapted to difference. I am new to this sight hope this helps.

I'm new to the Forum but to throw in my two cents in as a newbie, we have had an M&P9 for some time with the Apex Aluminum FSS. This is my wife's training weapon and until she had this trigger installed she was anticipating shots because of the long trigger pull and gritty feel of the OEM trigger. The rangemaster recommended the APEX and once installed, her pattern was amazingly tight and very few dropped shots. The only downside that I know of is that the reset is difficult to hear/feel until you get used to it. When we decided to upgrade our carry weapons, we bought a new M&P40C and M&P9C and after we shot about 50 rounds we spent the extra few bucks to have the same aluminum trigger and sear set installed in each. I guess I'm a believer. It is a great trigger and your accuracy will certainly improve.
