Which bi-pod should i buy for the 15-22?

I have a box full of cheap bipods I don't use anymore. They aren't solid, and that's the whole point of having a bi-pod. Like Majorlk, my Harris HBL(non swivel) goes on whatever rifle I need it on and it does what it's suppose to do.

Sorry for the low quality light haha

The GG&G is great. Botach had them for $119 a month ago, but prices have gone up ($149 now). It's a great piece of gear.. Ron

i see it like putting $3k chrome wheels on a $10k car. if you have bigger caliber rifles, then it makes sense to purchase something you can swap around.

I get what you're saying, but it's not about the recoil or wieght of the rifle you're putting it on. A BB gun won't be steady if the bipod isn't solid. "I'm not trying to be a jerk"

I am a RO at our local range and probably 80 percent of the shooters have ARs of some form or fashion. On any given day there are a half-dozen or more 15-22s. About 60 percent of all of them have bipods - ranging from Harris and Caldwell down to the VFGs with the little legs on the bottom and a pair of spring-loaded plastic sticks that clamp on the barrels like a clothes-pin.

There's far more weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth with the cheapies than with the real, professional-grade bipods. It's also interesting to see the shooters with the toy-bipods come back a couple of weeks later with Harris and Caldwells or other professional-grade bipods, saying "I should have done this in the first place." The only ones who keep the cheapies are the guys with every inch of rail filled with more toys. :)

The right tool for the job ...

well im looking forward to stretching out my utg bipod to see what it can do long range. hopefully i wont have to re-buy that caldwell i returned. :p

I have a HArris with theAR stud attachment and it is great. Does Harris make an adapter to fit onto a picatinny rail attachment? My 10/22 has an ATI stock with a picatinny rail attachment.

Yep, and now they have one that swivels if you don't have or don't like the swivel bipods. It's called the rota-pod.

standard $29.95

rota-pod $87.95 (ouch)

Im totally happy with ny Winchester $13 bipod.. i had a caldwell on my axis 223 coyote rifle and i hated it!! Came loose n wabbled.. i bought the cheap winchester for my 17hmr and i love it holds tight and did its job my 17hmr and 223 both shot 1/2" groups off bipod at 100 yards my glenfield model 60 and my 15-22 both shot consistent 1/2-3/4" groups at 50 yards with bulk ammo

I don't use a bipod on my 15-22, but if I was going to use one I'd get the Harris S-BRM. I've got one that I primarily use on my Rem 700 .308 SPS Tactical. Definitely get the Alpha-Bravo lever too. The thing about bipods is that they will work on any rifle (leg length considerations of course) and are easy to swap from one to another. While any of the inexpensive bipods will probably work just fine on your 15-22, might as well get one that you'll have a lifetime and can use on whatever you like. Midway has a sale on Harris bipods.

I use a Harris BRS on an A.R.M.S. mount on my SPR configured AR15. It is rock solid!!! It does not move at all. I agree with all the others stating, "buy one and never have to worry about it again".

I have a bin full of gun/rifle parts that I "settled" for, and a day/wk/month later I was ordering the better quality part. Hell, I've spent money on guns that I "settled" for that I did the same thing lol
