Hi All, New to this forum , this is my first post. I am reloading for my K-38 and have narrowed it down to two bullet companies, since i am ordering a thousand I want to be sure. My choices are between Missouri Bullets, and CJN Casting . I am going to use a LSWC in 158 grain bullet. Which company would you choose and why ? I will be using Unique power since I already have it...
Thanks, Moe

Someone started a thread a while back with reloading supplies and bullet offerings!!! Don't have time to search right now but I also thought it was supposed to be made "sticky".

Look at xtreme as well. Good stuff (not disparaging the others listed).

38-158gr. SWC
38- 158 SWC

Missouri Bullet Company for me. Why? Cheap and in stock.

Now I would gladly buy from a local caster, but I don't have any in my area. So MBC is the best for target fodder that I've found.

Welcome to the forum Moe M. I use Missouri 158 gr. LSWC. with # 12 hardness behind 4 grains of Trail Boss and really like them. I also like Laser-Cast bullets but they are about $17 more per 500 but you can load them hotter without leading problems. I also use Speer 158 gr. LSWC but you can't load them very hot because they are soft but they are always cheaper than the others in my neck of the woods. Speer are also dry lubed and have no wax groove.

Try Precision Delta. I use their bullets in various calibers and all shoot very good.

What about a source for a coated 45 Colt bullet?

Been buying Missouri Bullets for years in many calibers.

Hard to beat their service and price. Many other good ones out there however.

Many use the same casting machines and lead alloys, so it comes down to service, price and delivery time.

Never been disappointed.:)

I use Missouri bullets as well. Took a few weeks for delivery but I was happy with the product. Have only used 148gr DEWC and 158gr SWC BHN 18 for .357. So far they are more accurate than me.

missouri bullet company for me accurate, no leading at all ,great prices , fast shipping i use there 9mm,40,45, and 38 cal.
brinnell of 18. I also like the extreme plated bullets much better than berrys.

Just loaded my first batch of Bayou coated bullets. Using their 158gr. SWC. The test batch was fired from my Mod. 15 and I was impressed with the lack of smoke and general cleanliness of the gun after shooting. There was no lead present and the gun cleaned right up. I was only firing at 10 yds., but the accuracy was good from a snubby. Going to fire some in my 6 inch Mod 28 to verify accuracy. Loading 2.8 gr. of Bullseye if anybody is interested.

Anyone use Ranier bullets?

Just trrying to get everything together to load my M&P 40 conversion to 357 Sig. I have the die set from Lee and managed to get one box of Rem ammo to start with, needless to say they didn't last long at the range. Searched on line and found that Midway has what I needed I ordered 500 Ranier flatnose lead safe 124gr flat nose bullets for 61.00 , and new Rem reload brass 36.00 per hundred. The once fired sites had good deals but the shipping equaled the price for the brass. Gettting back to the question has anyone used Ranier bullets I heard of them before

Last time I purchased bullets (about 6 months ago) Dardas was the best bang for the buck and their bullets were as good or better than most I've tried. I have ordered form them several times and would highly recommend them.

I use Precision Delta for all of my FMJ and lead bullet loads except .44 Special. Shipping is included in their pricing.

Falcon Bullet Company | Premium Hard Cast Lead Bullets in TN. I have ordered/used 9mm 115 & 125 Gr., 125 & 158 Gr. in 38 cal. and 185, 200 SWC and 200 & 230 Gr. RN in 45 cal. All shoot exceptionally in my guns. Shipping/packaging is excellent. I usually receive my orders in 2-5 days via USPS Priority Flat Rate box. $14 for up to 2,000 bullets (to my zip in IN). Bulk pack of 3,000 ships for the same amount. Sample packs of 100 are available.
I can't recommend them enough, a family operated business with great customer service and quick shipping.
