Which dorm would you stay in?

Colorado University would like to segregate CCW holders into their own dorm:

I think this will be the safest place on campus.

I think it shows the university's view that guns are threat rather than a deterrent.

I did not even own a gun when I was in College. I do not think I would have been a responsible gun owner back then We did worry about AD though

it's better than here in PA. no concealed carry at all on any school grounds, including college.

Part of today's college experience is that while the Powers That Be quack about "diversity" every group wants its own dorm where they can live their separate existence and maintain their identity. Conversely it might be fun to actually live in a "gun club".

I'd stay in a dorm at another college not plagued by the dimwits who conjured up this asinine idea.

I teach at a major state university and spend a lot of time at another...the University of Maryland. In my personal experience, armed college students is a truly dumb idea made even dumber by enabling their behavior.

This will prove a nightmare...and hopefully wiser heads will rethink the decisions made thus far.

When I was in college, someone was always very short on money. Looks like a good way to pick up some bargains to me.

I like it. Put an ad up in the dorms bulletin board, "$50 grocery gift certificate and a 12 pack of beer for every firearm. An extra $50 cash and a 6 pack for a working 1911A1. Please no Hi Points, Ravens, Lorcin, etc."

At first blush it seems like a neat idea but as it digested I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be a thief's dream. All the weapons in one place and nearly everyone in class, hmmmm. I'd leave the firearms at home and have all my fun in the co-ed dorm.

Back in the 80's, when we had more freedom, I kept my weapons in the dorm room.
