Called S&W they don't have any extractors in stock to fit my 686-6 (7 shot) revolver.
Looking around online Numrich has part # 1646850 (new style) in the 686-5 section, advertised as .050 thickness.
Other sources have the part #215530000 (new style) but don't list the thickness. Looking at my other 686 (7 shot) revolvers they are all in the (+/-) .0785 range if I'm measuring at the correct location.
Numrich is the only shop that has one in stock so far.
What part number do I need?
UPDATE: This am MidwayUSA posted that they were out of stock, S&W said they didn't have any either. Later in the morning I just ordered a complete cylinder from S&W. A few minutes ago went to Midway to order parts for my reloader and there was an account message..the extractor was now available!
So I now have sufficient extractors coming
