Which Firearm do you think has the most elegant lines

Rifle - there is just something about those short barreled full length stocked rifles like the Mannlicher that oozes beauty and screams, please hold me and take me to the woods and plains.

Shotgun -And a 20 gage double shotgun with english stock in super fancy walnut and bright case harden receiver in a sidelock, again, begging to say, hold me in your arms and carry me to the fields and bogs.

Sidearm - yes, the Luger is hands down the winner of this contest of looks, that is why the Colt woodsman is so high on the list and those older High Standards.

I also like the full stocked rifles.
Also I have a weak spot for Schnabels.
And I like the ‘classic’ looks of my Hi Standard HDM.

I kind of like my Colt Woodsman Match Target. When I go shooting I spend more time looking at it, and I've owned it for 30 years (after dad had it the first 37)

I'm going to have to go with the fixed sight L frames, like my NYSP 681:

3rd Gen Autos with 5" slides also have very pleasing dimensions. This is a 5906 with custom 5" slide:

I also find the metal framed Kahrs to have great look to them:

For those who do not recognize this, it is the "Hummingbird" made by Peter Hofer in Austria. It is available in either 22 Hornet or 17MHR and the entire gun weighs 2.2# or 1Kg. This sidelever SxS is simply amazing in the details and level of craftsmanship.

Craftsmanship

I'm going with pre-WW1 military rifles. Made when there were no wars pushing for quantity and quality was so important. Plus you wanted to impress with the appearance. 30-40 Krag rifles, 1891 Argentine, even Lee-Enfields of that period were exceptionally well made. As for handguns the 1851 colt Navy and Mauser broomhandle commercial models. Please examine mint origional models of these, not stuff dragged through 2 losing wars or stored at the bottom of the amazon river for 40 years.

not talking about elegant lines...my K38 is just a line

Have to agree with the OP. The Savage 99's are just classic. Here is mine, 1940's vintage, with a Weaver ElPaso 2x scope and stith mounts. Actually was my Dad's, he felt the 99 was the pinnacle of deer guns. Also love the Schutzen rifles, popularized by the european immigrants coming to the country at the turn of the century (last one). The ergonomics on these are simply the best ever for target shooting. This one is .40 caliber, tack driver.
