I have a 66-2 made in 77 or 78 and need a set of target grips for it. Would the proper ones be speed loader cut or football? Or for that vintage would either be correct?

I vote for football too. 1978 is getting pretty close to the cut out ones, but the football ones look so much better and are probably correct on your gun.

I vote for footballs!

If you meant a -1 I'd agree on the football, the mid/late 1978 -1 4" I recently found came from the original owner with the football cut. The -2 came out in 1982.

My mistake, it's a 66-1.

It is always nice to have the correct stocks for a gun! It is more important that they feel right in your hand. Then looks come into play. JMO. Bob
