Due to my aging eyes I need to get a scope for my M&P AR15. While looking for a 15 22 a deal on a sport that was too good to pass popped up. I was going to scope the regular model (its more $ has to be better right) and keep the Sports iron sights. After reading some threads on here it seems that maybe the sport is the better candidate for the scope?

There are several AR after market parts vendors that offer a quick detach scope mount that fits the standard Piccatiny rail. I have one scope that I can move from rifle to rifle. It usually requires a bit of tuning for each rifle, but then the scope should be zeroed in after a change anyway. :)

I like Hog's idea. That way you can find out for yourself which rifle is the most accurate, leave the scope on it and run irons on the other.

Good idea. As long as it is close enough to be on the paper no need to worry about where, just shoot for groups. Find the winner then final mount and fine tune.
Thanks
