I need a recomendation for an OWB leather belt holster for a CS9. I have tried a Don Hume holster but it seems not to hold the grip close enough to my body to keep from printing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Really interested in this post!

I am also interested in the exact same thing. Sorry I can't help, but I can't wait to hear what the folks give us. I am waiting for a CS9 (purchased) to arrive and gotta' figure how to carry.

Thanks, but NO thanks!

No holsters offered for the CS9. Guess you forgot to do your homework before you posted?

Do my homework? Did you call and talk to John? He can make you a holster. Sorry for trying to be helpful. Maybe the OP, saturner1 will have better luck.

You have a lot of choices to consider. I have a High Noon "Split Decision" that I got for my Springfield EMP. I'm sure it would also work equally well for a CS. In fact, I'm waiting on delivery of a CS40 and will use the Split Decision for that . . . and have gone ahead and ordered an Alter Ego for my Springfield -- in order to have some backing to protect my side from the safety lever on the Springfield. I haven't tried the High Noon OWB holsters, but I would assume their quality would be just fine.

ditto, try "highnoonholsters.com". They make a nice line of holsters with many instock for CS. I use a highnoon "Mr. Softy" IWB for my CS45 and really like it----well made, comfortable, reasonable price. In cooler weather when I can comfortably wear a jacket or coat (about 6 mos out of the year here), I often use a Yaqui slide belt holster. Works fine, but doesn't pull pistol in toward body real tight. With a roomy coat/jacket though, I don't worry about that. Another thought, regarding printing, is to try BigDog grips for your CS (search the forum) rather than factory Hogues if you haven't already done so. They are much slimmer than Hogues and cause less printing. Last comment is to Google "Holsters, S&W CS"----you'll come up with lots of possibilities. Good luck with your search.

just saw your location (TX)---another thought is dmbullardleather.com. Think he's in Azle or somewhere like that. Has what looks like a nice line of holsters but (unfortunately for me) doesn't craft for CS45. He may however for your CS9. He'll reply if you inquire.
