This week I sold my FNH FNX-40 and am in the market for a new pistol. I currently have a Shield 9mm that I use for my CC and shoot if very well so I was thinking of adding another M&P. I have it narrowed down to 3 possible choices; M&P 9mm Pro, M&P 9mm C.O.R.E and M&P 9mm M2.0. I know the M2.0 is new, but what feed back can you M&P veterans provide (Pro's & Con's) on these pistols. Not sure there are a lot of differences. Thanks in advance for the feed back.

If you are thinking of a red dot, the CORE, or the milled PC is the way to go. If no red dot, then I think I would do the M2.0. The new stiffer frame, seems like a good idea. I have no problems with the original, and I see no need to change, but if starting from new, I would do the M2.0, unless the optic is in play.

Go with the M2.0.
I'm in the market for a m&p also. I've narrowed it down to the mp9 ported or the m2.0 so I understand the op post. I myself am leaning hard at the m2.0. I love the way it feels on my hand and the balance of the gun overall. The trigger really does feel crisp compared to the ported imo.

I have the performance center 9 mm 5 inch set up for USPSA open got all the bells and whistles but before I changed everything out of the box I really liked it.
Went last night layed away the core 5 inch 9 mm pick it up this coming Friday I carry a Sig P938 but would like to carry a full size 5 inch that's why I went with the Smith & Wesson core it's like my performance center that I have no complaints on out of the box.

If I were doing it (and this is clearly what I would do right now, by no means am I saying this is the way for everyone - just a point of view). I'd grab the plain old M&P9 for $379.99 off Whittakers, and then send it off to DP custom and have them do a bunch of junk to it. Really wishing in hindsight I'd have know about this when I got my FS40. I'd have got a Police trade in and done the same thing with it.

Watched some videos on Youtube on the M2.0 and there was a lot of good things being said, so on Saturday I purchased the M2.0 with the 4.25" barrel in black with no thumb safety. Went back to the range yesterday to shoot it....gota say....glad I made the purchase. First shot at 10' was close tocenter bulls eye, first 15 round mag all with in 4" circle. Now compare that to when I was shooting the FNH at that distance is like night and day difference. Shot 200 rounds without any issues. Was not sure how I was going to like the textured grip, but got to liking it more and more as the session went on. Very happy with the purchase
