I have young kids in the house, so I like the added security of having a safety on my Shield should they ever get a hold of it some how. Also, for an IWB CCW, I prefer the safety and do not think it takes a rocket scientist to click it off while unholstering the firearm... People who claim they'll forget that it's on just do not want to put in the effort to practice/train with their CCW.
You get a new firearm, you practice to get use to it and how it functions... Learning to flip a safety off is no different to learning, practicing, and getting use to how your new CCW trigger breaks and how it recoils, feels, shoot, sights, etc...
