Which one? 3913 or 908

I am probably sure in the minority when I say I prefer the aesthetics of the 908 over the 3913. But, if I saw a 3914 for sale at a reasonable price I wouldn't hesitate. With that said my 908 is one of my most enjoyable pistols I have.

I have a 3913 and 3914.

The 3914 is my "utility" gun:

The 3913 is my "dress up" version:

They're both great guns.

I don't really know about the 908; never had one.

BTW, I offering the grips on the 3914 as a karma in the lounge.

I estimate I have shot at least 300 rounds a yerar since 1996 through my 908 and used it for concealed carry and 3 gun matches and it functions withou a burp showing a little holster wear but no other parts wear or failures, not even the springs. Some pro-mag magazines you may have trouble with, just a warning, smith mags are expensive and flawless in operation.

I'm researching but can't find much info on seeming look alikes other than the 908 'has fewer features'. Can anyone advise me if there is much difference between the models and which is preferable. Let's stay away from the Ford vs Chevy angle and keep the discussion on relative merits. Thanks SO much. -Robb

I agree with Erich, and my biggest problem with the Value Series was the plastic mag catch. I am not sure if they chaged the design or not, but plastic against a hard metal mag tube just wears out the mag catch and causes problems. The good news is that they had metal replacement ones you could retrofit. This only makes a difference if you shot alot.

Still, my preference is for the 3913.
