Which Testor's Paint for Zombie Green?

I'm thinking about doing a color fill on my Shield and I want to do a zombie green color. I'm leaning towards using Testor's model enamel for the fill. If anyone has done a fill using zombie green paint, which color number did you use? Green 1124 looks pretty close but the fluorescent green, number 1174, might be better. Or, if anyone out there has used some other paint, please advise. Thanks.

Nail polish works equally as well, use same prep method and simple clean up with non- acetone remover.

Number 1174 most definitely more accurately resembles the color of real green zombie blood

I second the nail polish option. At least if i'm in Ulta with the wife, gives me something to look at while she shops.... and I have picked up some real nice orange there i've used on my front dots lol

The Testors fluorescent paints are very thin, and I have found they generally need multiple coats to look good. I have had better luck with the other Testors enamels. However, on a dark background any of the paints may require two coats.

Some people say that with a dark background you need to do a white undercoat. But I have gotten good results using multiple coats of color.

I have also gotten good results with nail polish.

I am generally using paint on sights, so I am very picky about the look and the coverage. If paint on the sights is uneven, it can be worse than the original sights in colors that I can't see.

well if you dont find yourself in a beauty supply store with a wife/daughter/etc lol, then just stroll into the cosmetic aisle at your nearest WM or Target or any retail spot. Plenty of color choices to look at.
Only speaking for myself but i just grabbed a low cost bottle of the color polish i wanted for my front dots and didnt worry about a brand name. And after months of use at the range (and cleaning), dots are still orange. Maybe it matters more if you are filling in the slide, etc so i cant help on that part.

I have used Sharpie oil paint pens with ultra fine points. Colors are limited, but they work and wear very good.

Go to a paint or motorcycle shop and find a touch up pen in Kawasaki Lime Green.
$25 for both green paint and clear coat pens.
