Which way?

I have a 681 with a drift adjustable front sight that I would like to remove. Looking from the rear of the gun, which direction do I drift the front sight to remove it? Left or right?

Not sure it makes a difference, but I always remove left to right and install right to left. Don't believe mill makes the cut on a bias.

I concur with GLV. Most of the time, drift on pins or sights left to right and install the reverse.
